Sure I can, kick back and watch me.

Of course that would assume that I happened to ever feel the need to justify myself.

If you are driving, you should be in the right lane.

If you are in the left lane, you should be passing. Once you pass, you should be back in the right lane.

If someone is overtaking you in the left lane, you should get over as soon as it is safe to do so.

Why is that so hard for so many drivers in Florida to understand ??

It is not very intelligent to endanger yourself or someone else because someone is stupid or ignorant of the laws of driving.

As far as not "brake checking" someone because they might have a gun, I won't reinforce their "reason" or "right" to bully people because they might be armed.

I KNOW I am armed....

Not to be off-topic, but here on the interstate, every girl I know drives right up someone's butt in the right lane and then slams on the brake and screams and cusses them for going so slow...I always wonder why they don't just change lanes and pass them, that's what the other lane is for, but my current lady friend will ride behind someone for ten minutes or until they turn off before she would pass them...WTF is all that about?

Also add: if passing you should be doing more than 1 mph over the vehicles that you are overtaking. Pass quickly then get back in the driving lane.

I despise lane squatters more than tailgaiters.
I will tailgate the crap out of lane squatters, then eventually I'll get mad and pass them on the right. I know it's dangerous and against the law but so is me tailgating them as well as them lane squatting. Whats bad is most of them have no clue, ther is a string of people that follow and pass on hte right and they lane squatter sees nothing wrong. Idiots I tell you.

I was going through a two-lane tunnel yesterday in the right lane, and two people in a red blazer were trying their best to stay in my blind spot in the left lane. I sped up about 2-3 mph to get ahead of them. Their day-time running lights came on. I noticed they weren't that bright, so I just flipped my rear-view to night time view. But anyway, they flipped their brights on, so naturally I got pissed. I didn't show it though as they pulled up beside me to check out my reaction. People are so predictable. So, I had my window down, and they had theirs down. I looked over at them as they pulled up along side of me and as soon as I made eye contact with them, I laid down on my WOLO Bad Boy air horn. You should have seen those smart-***** jump as 120dB of loudness echoed off those tunnel walls! Oh yeah! The passenger stuck their hand out the window like they were going to flip me off, but they couldn't quite get they're middle finger up. They must've been scared or something. I dunno. That was the best laugh I've had in a long while.

No you must not have very good reading comprehension. I never said anything about 'you' I was speaking in general.

Personally, I'd rather go easy and not be going down, even if it's "worthwhile". I'll take humble and alive over proud and dead any day!

I just moved to Texas from PA, and in PA there is a law about riding in the passing lane for a extended period of time. I am not saying that TX drivers are bad, but really please drive right, pass left. I drive 100 miles a day to work and back (50 to and 50 from). If you feel like going slow to see the TX country side....STAY RIGHT!!! I have done some things to people that like to ride in the passing lane too long, but that is not important. I realize that i am new to Texas and need to learn how people drive here.

Oh, and i hate tailgaters...but since i drive right and pass left i do not get many of those.

Agree 100%

I also comute 50 miles, sometimes more everyday. There is a law here too but it's not enforced unfortunatly. People act like thier is nothing wrong with making people pass them on the right.
The rules are different in the passing lane, when you come up on a car or someone comes up on you in the passing lane, tailgating doesnt apply (not technically) you can still get a ticket. They are faster so you need to get out of thier way. If someone driving that close to you makes you uncomfortable. Then get in the driving lane! It's not that hard.

I personally hate tailgaters... (except the ones that are tailgating at a BBQ, haha)...

Anyhow... when someone practically shoves their front end up my trailer hitch this is what I do:

My F150:

Since it's a wide beast... not to mention long, and tall, making it difficult for the average rice rocket, car, minivan, or sometimes a SUV, or a truck, to see around me, I start driving in the center of the road and swerve a little bit. They back off almost instantly. Some continue to tailgate me... so I just take my foot off the gas and go as slow as 30 mph under the speed limit. They get soooooooo mad!

My Dakota:

Since my Dak is low, and short... it makes it rather easy to get around me if I were to try pulling what I do with my F150. So I switch to a different mode. I go slower and slower till they decide to try to pass me. As soon as I see 'em pulling out, I drop a gear and blast them out of reality. Then go slow again. After they see the hp and the fact that they won't be able to get around me they back off. I recently pulled this off on a Silverado... what's funny is that he floored his truck and he was in 2nd and I just gave my truck some more gas in 5th and I still beat him. Guy got really pissed.

Teaches those tailgaters a lesson.

However... I had an incident with a persistant tailgater on my Escape... I had my nice big trailer hitch on, and I see a light change to red quick... so instead of going through it... I downshifted to 2nd and stomped on the brakes. I had a Hyundai Tiburon behind me... the trailer hitch when through his radiator, engine block, and pushed the engine into the cabin. Taught that kid a lesson. Cop gave him 3 tickets, 1 for speeding, 1 for following too close, 1 for reckless driving. I got nothing and the cop felt sorry for me...
