It seems to me your getting all reved up because of the media bias always showing negitive. Fact is we haven't had a terrorist attack since 9/11 in America. The only places that have had attacks have copitulated, like spain and france and england. And don't give me this crap that iraq isn't part of the war on terror. It is and will be for a long time to come. we are using the terrorist resorces in iraq instead of here. I'll take that any day. Plus an eventually piecefull government in the middle east is a very good thing. That is in our national security because iraq is sitting atop the second largest known oil reserve.
I see the connection with Afghanistan---but I fail to see the connection with Iraq. I would hope that the young man died for something more than what goes in our gas tanks...Why don't you tell that to his parents, to his wife, and to his daughter?

My question is why is it national policy to be overly concerned with a tiny **** ant middle east country? And do so while we ignore pretty much every other country in the world that could be a useful ally. If you notice, in all the action we are engaged in in the middle east, not a single thing is based out of Israel. If we as a nation are going to put our necks out for a **** ant middle east country, shouldn't we get at least a little back? As far as I can tell, our support of Israel does not benefit the US in a single measurable way.

First, we need to get these UN resolutions and sanctions put into effect.
Then after a reasonable amount of time (a few months) we need to assemble a coalition of the willing. Great Britain of course, along with Pago Pago and Lithowania.
Then after a countdown, we send in 140,000 US troops and rout the Elite Iranian Guard.
We disassemble the police force and all forms of government.
The Iranian people welcome us as liberators.
We hold democratic elections.
The Prez flies onto a carrier with a 'Mission Accomplished' banner for backdrop....
six months tops, we're in we're out, badda badda bing!
(All this hinges of course on the ability of Haliburton to handle another no-bid contract, man I hope they don't say 'no'. We'd be screwed.)
