My neighbor across the street has a 2000 f250 with many more miles on it than that on his 7.3. I think he's pushing 300,000 on it, and it's a daily driver. Loud as hell too. Good truck.

My truck is just about perfect for what I do now. Problem is, I'm a power junkie and I don't want to feel my boat when I'm towing it. That, and I REALLY want a manual transmission. Hard to find in an F-150 with options I want.

Thanks... I'm getting a great deal on it, and hoping to get it even cheaper...

There's lots of good deals out there, you just have to be patient and wait for them to come up & search them out. Even at major dealers. The two vehicles I bought before the truck both from major dealers: 97 Explorer XLT - bought in 01, they wanted $15k. I walked out paying $10.5. 98 Explorer Limited - bought in 02, they wanted $18k. I walked out paying $12.1.

Looks like 2003 was the first year for the FX4. Before that it was 4x4 Off Road

I have a 83 F250 with the 6.9 and an 98 F350 with the 7.3. The 6.9 has 1.3 million miles and the 7.3 has 750K. I only ever had to change the head gaskets on the 6.9 once, other than that, just regular maintenance. Get the diesel, it will last you forever as opposed to the V10.

I just ran a Carfax on it... It's only had one owner. One reported accident on 6/18/2003. But, no airbag deployment, and no frame damage. It was a personal vehicle. Also, its from Seligram, MO.

I could be wrong though.

Just Mapquested Seligram, MO. It's about 200 miles from here, down by Table Rock Lake. Don't think it's that truck...

Well, thats not where I though it was from. There was a guy in Saint James that used to have an identical truck to that with the chromed emblems, 7.3 stroker, FX4 sticker, etc.... And I know that it was rolled not too long ago.

Best of luck with the purchase, let me know if you get it and I will have to stop by your frat house and check it out. It's a pretty sweet looking truck.

Ooooh yeah...You've got the grey lifted one parked over by the TKE house right? Klapp said he knew you... The Carfax said that this truck was involved in minor front end accident. I'll take a look at it good when I go drive it on Friday. But, thanks for lookin out for me.

Yeah I park behind TKE and CSF. No problem, just trying to help out. You'll have to get that truck, that way you can pull Nick's little chevy up the street. LOL

Later,

John
