I got ripped off about 5 years ago. It was my first and last use of ebay. As a result I will NEVER buy anything on-line from an individual regardless of the "guarantees" set up thru third parties or whatever. The only online purchases I will make are from giant established companies.

While I could have used any of the remedies listed, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and decided to just write off the loss as a lesson learned. The time, money, and frustration just to recoup 500 dollars was not worth it, especially since the couple involved demonstrated thru their later emails that they were crazy and God only know how they would have acted if pressed. Besides, I've seen how small claims and civil judgments work. You go thru all that hassle for zip. (Ask the Goldman family vs O.J.)

I can only hope that karma catches up with them, that eventually they got busted and put in jail, only to get out and find themselves homeless, living on the streets, eventually becoming drug addicts, and hopefully contracting HIV thru shared needles, which turned into full-blown AIDS, and that now they are dying a slow and painful death. I also hope that if they had any spawn, that they suffer and die too.

You could say that regardless, I should have gone after them on principle. Yeah, well in principle, the justice system works and all things should work out in the end . . . but they don't. So you have to ask yourself if it's worth your time to fight for 250 bucks. In my case I decided that I had paid a lot more than 500 bucks at university for a so called education and learned a lot less.

In the future, NEVER buy stuff online from individuals or small companies. PERIOD.

I'm getting rid of my 97 4x4 and you can have the running boards that are on them. They're made by Warn and they don't make them anymore. I always like them but I'm taking them off the truck. They're yours for free. They might not have that custom bend in them like the ones you get from Paragon but they are free and no dents.

As a matter of fact they can be removed with 2 pins so you can take them off just in case you take your truck where you might regret it!

They're an aluminum bar with a rubber insert on top and mount at the ends. The only thing it needs is a new frame mounting tube which is easily made. It's a 90 degree metal tube that mounts under the truck.

 

I dont think they will fit on Brew F150 because he has the new one... Also if u are looking give them away, I would be interseted.. Mine keep rusting eventhough I keep painting them... You have any pictures???

 

No, I don't have any pics that I can think of. I think I may even still have the mounting instructions but I'm not sure. I don't usually throw them out.

They are not chrome. They're aluminum and don't shine. One thing I did forget to mention is they are for an extended cab. I didn't think of that.

Kobi..I hear ya man, and agree with you to a point. Unfortunately I'm poor and can't afford to just drop this and lose not only my $250, but another $400 it's going to cost me to buy a new set from the dealership. I honestly can't afford to lose that money, especially now at Christmas time. I have a huge family with 13 kids that count on a present from good old Uncle Tom. If I were to disappoint one of those kids I would just crawl under a rock and kill myself.

Red and anyone else who offered to help me do bodily harm, thanks but I'll pass on that one. The trouble I would get in for that, is deff. not worth the $250.
