The 67 AC Cobra S/C MKIII was fitted with a 427, I thought it was a CJ, guess I was wrong.

No, possibly you are correct, I just don't remember for sure. I just don't recall a 427 being called a Cobra Jet, though it was certainly a "Cobra rocket". One fine engine. I found a 67 Shelby on blocks next to a trailer house and at the edge of a cotyton field. Raised the hood and there set a 427 with two 4s. The 428 had been blown and this was the replacement. A mod I was quite happy with. We bought it, took it home and went to work. My former partner still has it.

Perhaps you didn't get part of the post.

He builds these motors, no dyno, old school knowledge.

Think, a 427 with milled down heads for lower deck clearance.... lower volume and higher compresssion by anyone's standard. Accompanied with all the extra necessary supporting hardware to make it worthy.

Side note: Edelbrock was the only one to produce a medium-rise intake manifold (circa 1998) that would breath above 6000 RPM.

The man behind this is a retired (3 years now) 48 year experienced FORD mechanic. He just does what loves, build motors, burn rubber and look at the cops and say '............WHAT????..........' .

I call this guy Dad and realize that I am fortunate to have him here today.

OLD SCHOOL RULES !!!!!!!!!!
