I guess when you sell the most cars you also have the most cars to recall.

Not hardly. Some of their leadership in Japan may go the way of the Mitsubishi leadership, to jail. They are in trouble there for not issuing a recall on the 4Runner and whatever they call it it in Japan earlier than they did. They knew they had a problem in 96 and didn't issue the recall until 04 or 05 after people were injured.

Sounds just like Ford with a multitude of issues.

Oh wait. No it doesn't. Ford doesn't fix their problems. They continue to lie.

Not good, but no where as bad as Explorers blowing out tires and rolling over seriously injuring or killing people, and lets not forget about F150’s that can catch fire in the middle of the night and burn down a home (parked in an attached garage) possibly seriously injuring and/or killing the occupants while they are quietly asleep in their own beds…

And as J-150 pointed out for the most part Ford rarely if ever admits to a problem, serious or not, so it never gets repaired and the owners are stuck for 100% of the cost…

Toyota may be having a bad spell but they have a very LONG ways to go to ever reach Ford’s substandard in quality, or lack thereof…

My daily commuter is a Toyota rav4 4x4 and its been flawless for over 1.5 years. I put on 56,000 miles in that time and no issues, hickups, burps whatever, hell the tires are still good and original. go figure. But my f-150 is at 184,000 and continues to run great with little problems and 10 years later i still enjoy driving it. Today my AC qiut working in the f-150 compresser not engaging??. help..

Wasn't that Firestone's substandard practices, at the time, of allowing unskilled labor to belt OE tires?

I do remember the NHTSA stating when the story broke that almost all incidents involved high heat state freeways plus excessive speed.

I will NEVER understand why it is that people sit here and bitch and moan about Ford's poor quality- and yet they own a Ford?

If you think it's so bad, sell it. give it away, donate it...whatever. but why keep it?

And don't blame Ford, because YOU are the one that bought the vehicle when you knew so well about "Ford's history of substandard quality" even before you got the latest vehicle.

GO AWAY!!!! With you being such a rich and upstanding citizen you pay cash for everything and all we have is our old pathetic trucks and you would not understand. People have notes on their trucks, cars whatever and cannot give them nor donate them. I blame FORD for their continued efforts to screw their customers after the sale is done ( and the ole "i know nothing"). After way to many years you would think they could have mastered keeping sparkplugs in the engine, making parts that hold up and not burn up your truck or buy the lowest bid tires. Man the list goes on and on... Now i will go for a ride in my pathetic old *** truck and you can continue to wave the big blue flag if you wish...

haha, poor you. Let's all get in a circle and have a pity party for the poor guy who can't afford a japanese truck.

give me a break.

If money is so tight that you have to finance things etc (which, btw, I did finance the minimum on my new focus so I know what it's like haha) then you should do your damn research and do the best you can with your money. Oh wait, or are we using the left's argument that everyone is a victim? Poor victim of Ford's evil conspiracy you are...

quit your crying.
