Here's a clue....(for the clueless, that's you btw) Ford put the engine they did in the F150 because of a little something called economics. Ford realizes that to 90% (or better) of F150 owners the 4.6 and the 5.4 are more than sufficient.

little newsflash (your words)
Ford put those engines in the trucks because thats all they had available. These engines were designed primarily for FWD car applications but ended up in the trucks too.
Oh, and lets not talk about how sufficient they are with all of those Edge, XCal and Superchips posts in the 2004 forum.

actually, its not the best selling.
GM pickups have that honor.
And for the record, they dont sell 900k F150s a year. Get your facts straight before you tell people they are wrong and stupid.

Ford, and for that matter, any business hates people like me who will tell the truth regardless. What I stated about Ford IS fact, it is not disputable other then by those to young and/or to naďve to have a voice and mind of their own.
Well said!
Why do these threads end up like this?
Each person on this planet will have their own OPINION about anything and everything. It's life.
If I say a car is "white" and you say the car is "off-white"....who gives a flying rats azz? So what? We have different views. YAY
I understand debate can be entertaining and educational, but the name calling and disrespecting each other is uncalled for.
All of you go to separate corners.

Naive - Lacking worldly experience and understanding, especially:
a. Simple and guileless; artless: a child with a naive charm.
b. Unsuspecting or credulous: “Students, often bright but naive, bet and lose substantial sums of money on sporting events” (Tim Layden).
c. Showing or characterized by a lack of sophistication and critical judgment: “this extravagance of metaphors, with its naive bombast” (H.L. Mencken).
So you have seen a few vehicles in your lifetime and spoke with a few people here and there and it appears you continue to have a blind loyalty to Ford and there is nothing wrong with that but just understand blind loyalty leads to no improvements and the same old substandard quality vehicles and **** poor customer service.
However, rest assured people like me will continue to do my part to help insure Ford moves the ball forward in order to one day produce the best quality vehicle and have outstanding customer service. It won’t take much for Ford to move forward since they are pretty close to the bottom of the list in both categories at the moment there is much from Toyota that Ford could learn…
I have owned approx. 10 - 12 Fords in the past 15 years and currently own a 2005 Ranger and 2006 Mustang GT...

Good point, and exacxtly what I was saying
Ford had the 5.4 already built and it was a lot cheaper to upgrade it than to develop an entirely new engine. They were trying to get as much use out of it as possible. *ECONOMICS*.
See, maybe you do get it after all

Oh, and in reference to your other post, first off, I never stated anything about how many vehicles Ford/f150 sold, so not sure how you can come out telling me that I was wrong about a specific number I never stated?
But enjoy this,

First off, when I was referring to you not having me pinned I was referring to the actual topic at hand, (ie faith in Ford etc) and not the already public fact that I was in my early 20s. Big deal, you read a post about my age. Wow, you are amazing!
"So you have seen a few vehicles in your lifetime and spoke with a few people here and there and it appears you continue to have a blind loyalty to Ford and there is nothing wrong with that but just understand blind loyalty leads to no improvements and the same old substandard quality vehicles and **** poor customer service."
Ok for starters let's try your method.
From dictionary.com , I looked "Blind" up for you.
"1. Performed or made without the benefit of background information that might prejudice the outcome or result: blind taste tests used in marketing studies. "
Ok, so in your quote above you continue to call me a "blind" consumer that just buys Ford because its Ford. Well, according to that definition, I am anything but a "blind" loyalist. I have done extensive research, personally, and through conversation with others. I think there are a great many (scholars and otherwise) that would diagree completely with the notion that just because someone is young and only has minimal personal experience that they can not make up for that with extensive research. which I have done. Therefore, I am NOT a blind loyalist. Stop trying to make points that aren't backed up with fact.

YOU however would happen to fall PERFECTLY into the category of a blind loyalist! haha I can't even believe that you have the gaul to call me a blind loyalist when it is YOU that continues to buy Fords despite the fact that you have clearly "pinned" Ford as a low-quality, ****-poor service company. YOU my friend may want to take a look in the mirror, either that or figure out how you got started on the wrong side of this argument
