More schools ban games at recess

Elementary schools in Cheyenne, Wyo., and Spokane, Wash., banned tag at recess this year. Others, including a suburban Charleston, S.C., school, dumped contact sports such as soccer and touch football.

you can blame this on the ambulance chasing, peronal injury lawyers.

Who wants that kind of liability knowing that people will slap a 100 million lawsuit on you if Junior stubs his toe on your watch?

or even his own watch. like the kid that fell on his own banana peel in a store, the lady that spilled coffee on herself, etc. just stupidity.

Some people just need a good slap. Next thing we know will be the banning of chemistry class because someone just might mix the wrong chemicals together..... Like we used to do.
I wonder if softball will be next to go?
I had my nose broken when the batter threw the bat and I wasn't paying attention, that is until the bat connected with my nose.

Maybe parents should just keep all their kids at home, home school them, then turn them loose upon the world. Wouldn't that be wonderful? A generation of kids with no outside experience. That's where this world is headed.

My favorite PE game in school was KILLERBALL! It was awsome!

Later, the school made us call it "advanced dodge ball", but it was still just as fun!

Forget what they are banning, whoever suggested soccer was a contact sport should be shot... they would ban soccer so that all of the obese kids don't have to run...

We played a version called army dodge....(dont know if that is a regular version)

Basically you got hit in the arm or leg you lost that limb but were still in.

Unless you got a chest or head hit you were dead.

It turned you into a walking target and you usually got pummelled.

Hopping around on one leg while throwing with your left hand....just to get beamed in the head.....ahhh good times.
