There is no difference between the Black Panthers and the KKK. They are both groups that preach hate and are "militant". If they want to be militant and carry guns, I got a job for them in todays military killing desert dwellers...
It's like comparing the Rev Al Sharpton to Rev. Jessie Jackson... both idiots use the title Reverend but preach hate and spread discord...What a couple of A-holes. I believe in One Nation Under GOD...Indivisible. All these idiots want to spread there own agenda...

Black Panthers KKK. To me they are the same. The KK hates anybody who isn't White Anglo Saxon Protestant just because they aren't. That's a stupid reason to hate someone. The Black Panthers hate because black people were slaves and are currently being "oppressed." That is an understandable reason to hate someone. BUT hate the people doing the oppressing or owning the slaves. I'm hated because I have light skin. The last time I checked my ancestry half of my relatives arrived way after slavery ended. The other half were low class and coming from caucasian, indian, and black decent were looked upon as the scum of the earth. So that leaves the oppression. The only time I "oppress" anybody is when they are breaking the law and I take them to jail.
So to recap I'm hated by the Black Panthers because my ancestors owned slaves, which they didn't, and I oppress black people, which I don't. I'm also hated by the KKK because I come from indian and black decent and I'm definately not Anglo Saxon, or Protestant.

As far as The Black Panthers giving a voice to a minority....
Any Supremecy Group is a lost cause. Americans have to live together.
When a group tries to put itself above another race it only divides us.
The Black Panthers do give a voice, But some times they go to far.
I beleive Marching on Duke University to demand the expulsion of every one on the la crosse team is going over board.
Im not going to try the case hear on this forum, But you cant punish 46 people because 2 people on the team are accussed of a crime.
Its unfair to hold Duke accountable for what 2 student may have done OFF CAMPUS during their own free time.
If this was a white women accussing 2 black members of a black athletics team of rape and the University kicked out every one on the team, They would be screaming Racism about that.
There is a fine line between fighting for racial equality and marching for racial reprisals.

The original Black panthers are not the same group as the "New Black Panthers"
While I can not accept or endorse any organization that promotes any race over another the original group has condemened the new group.
Firstly, the people in the New Black Panthers were never members of the Black Panther Party and have no legitimate claim on the Party's name. ...
Secondly, they denigrate the Party's name by promoting concepts absolutely counter to the revolutionary principles on which the Party was founded. Their alleged media assault on the Ku Klux Klan serves to incite hatred rather than resolve it. The Party's fundamental principle, as best articulated by the great revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, was: "A true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love." The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the "white establishment." The Party operated on love for black people, not hatred of white people.

As Vader pointed out, the New Black Panther party, and the original Black Panthers, are not "related". I'm talking about back in the day, as well as today. I'm not saying they're are today, or were yesterday- "angels"; nor am I saying I "support(ed)" them. I said what I think, they think they stand for.
As for me, I don't rally to any group, except the "American's". I stand on my own merits, and fear no man. Hell, I've probably served in teh Army with undercover Klansmen and Panthers; as long as they're not harming or preaching to me, so be it...
But yes, I do believe there is a difference, not that either is right, intelligent, or righteous. Nevertheless, until evidence can be shown to me that the original Black Panthers, or the new ones, have killed, beaten and oppressed any race of people, (Other than talk crap about what they wanna, and what they gonna...) then they will never have the same "idiot-blood" running through their veins as Klansmen, Aryins, New ****'s, or Skinheads... Besides, at least they aren't hiding behind sheets, you can clearly see who they are...
I didn't know Panthers marched at Duke today, or whenever they did. All I know is everytime the Klan rallies in Texas (And they do so often) the New Black Panthers somehow know of this, and plan to attend, only to be held back from that area by the police; meanwhile the Klan's right to assemble is protected...
I have no love for either group (You can quote that if you like), but, I can't say I'd be hurt or offended if one day, one of the Klan/Panther rallies goes horribly, and tragically wrong...
As long as no innocents get hurt, so be it...
And guys, this country has come a long way- no doubt; But, don't fool yourself. If two black men had raped a white woman, stripper or not, they'd be dead already, and this wouldn't be on the news... They'd have died in custody, or while "resisting" arrest.

There's one thing I love about the military...we are all Americans. Sure there are cliques here and there, but in the end we all bleed the same, red, white, and blue!
