It's hard to choose between Chris and Taylor musically; but, Taylor's dancing is irritating. He needs to tone it down if he wants to be taken seriously. I actually got mad when Taylor's second song ended. I wanted to hear the whole thing. He and Chris sang my 3 favorite Elvis songs. Elliot was tough tonight, too. McPhee is just too over the top for me. She's bothered me from the start. She just over sings the songs.

I guess I don't have to keep saying how much I love Chris, but he was awesome once again tonight. Both songs. Taylor was good as usual too. Elliot really came through tonight. He did great. Katherine I knew wouldn't do too well with given Elvis songs to perform. Based on tonight's performances, Katherine should go.

 

Oh crap! According to dialidol.com Chris is going to be voted off.

 

Remember Dialidol isn't alway right. Look at their past predictions (there's a selection menu towards the top of the predictions page) and you'll see that a lot of times the one on the bottom isn't voted off. Soemtimes it's the 2nd from bottom. I do however think Chris runs the risk of falling through the crack here. Think Tamyra Gray, she was a good singer but got beat out towards the end because people decided somebody else needed the votes more to keep them. That's all theory of course, but it happens every season at least once.

Anyway, I don't think Chris is gone, but I wouldn't be suprised if it did happen. Kat will more likely be the one to go tonight. Regardless of what happens I think we all know Chris will do fine.

I actually hope that Chris has learned from AI that he's not just a Rocker. I mean, that's his specialty, but he's got the ability to make some good music in general if he'll allow himself to achieve that. Elvis night is a perfect display of how he's learned to adapt. We'll see I guess.

Impressions from last night:
Taylor: demonstrates again he can really sing. His first song was just ok, but 2nd was great.
Chris: demonstrates some good versatility. Has a great lower tone that fits this type of music very well. Very good control both songs.
Katherine: I grow weary with her. I want to like her so bad, but can't quite do it. Was gutsy to try and mix two songs together, but obviously wasn't quite there with it.
Elliot: same thing, different day. Boring.

 

I didnt watch Elliot or Kat. I watched both of Chris' and Taylor's performances. I like Elliot, I just dont like to WATCH him sing.

Kat just makes me want to go to the restroom and go #3.

 

Kat did not have a good night. She sounded much better in rehearsals at Graceland. She is in trouble. Kat is in a hole but she still has a chance to win if she can survive tonight.


Elliot - Good voice and had a strong week. But he was even better last week and was in the bottom two. Even if he makes it to the top 3, he will not win.


Taylor - One of his best weeks. Welcome to the top 3. I used to think he could never get past Chris for the win, but Taylor is certainly a contender.

Chris - Solid again. He may not win the whole thing, but he has as good a chance as Taylor and better chance than Kat or Elliot. He's not going home tonight.

 

Yeah and unfortunately that might be why America keeps her.

 

I don't get that. She's by no means all that hot. Throw in that she's in love with herself; and, well... No way will she win this thing. She may outlast Elliot; but, his votes won't be swinging her way. Even if she makes it to the finals, any guy that gets bumped at this point will be transferring fans to the guys that are left over. Mostly.

I'll say this though. Elvis night wasn't really fair for her at this point in the competition. A Patsy Cline night would be in order to even things up if she sticks around. She may even get votes just on principle after this stunt.

 

Um, I think you may be mistaken on that part. She's by FAR the hottest girl to come out of AI, and IMHO, she's one of the hottest ladies on TV. But that part is just me.

I am totally shocked and upset. I know he will still make it and in a way I am glad he didn't get Idol status, but he deserved at least top two.
