lip synching...like how orginal...Good reason not to have A TV...watching to nights show at a friends....even the free beer dosent take away the pain of watching.....

I don't know what the attraction is to that show, we certainly don't watch it.

It must be America's love of reality TV. I personally can't stand it. I'll watch a fifteen year old episode of Seinfeld, that I've seen numerous times, before I'll watch any of that crapality TV. Thank goodness for the Discovery Channel and The Learning Channel.

 

Personally I like it. It's interesting to see some of the people develope throughout the season. I don't know where you get the lip synching idea from. If you heard how bad some of the people sound at times you'd know it was for real. Sometimes they sound pretty darn good. You HAVE to be into mostly pop music though ( I'll listen to anything). If you're not you probably won't like it. It's not about the winners (a couple have really sucked IMO, i.e. Rueben Studard *gag*), but the mixture of talent and how they compare.

As far as reality TV goes, the singing competitions are the only thing worth a darn IMHO. Nashville star is proably one of the best, though I've only seen one season of it. All the other reality crap is a bunch of attention ****** wanting to hog camera time in any way possible.

 

I did not watch any of the first two seasons, saw some of the 3rd season, almost all of the 4th season and now I am hooked.

I've never seen any lip synching on the show.

It's one of the few shows my wife and I both enjoy. I frequently disagree with the voting, but I don't take any of it seriously.

That little 16 year old, Lisa, blew me away. That girl can sing. Some of the less talented performers were easy on the eyes.

 

I have been watching that show non stop since American idol 1! I'm addicted to that show, but this 5th time around has a lot of cute girls close to my age that I'm cheering for!

 

Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but where was the lip synching exactly? They had a live band with live back-up singers, and they played the mics, and there were some sour notes that I'm sure wouldn't be recorded... what did I miss?

Can't say I've ever watched that show regularly. I started this time just to laugh at the talent-less louts that tried out, but really like a lot of the talent. I'm pulling for a couple of the women and a couple of the guys, but you'll never get me to PAY to vote. Not a chance!

What is on right now, bores me to death. Same with Dancing With Celebrities, although that wrestler hot mamasita can shake it.

Funny you mentioned that. I was watching the news last night ( or, trying to), and those morons had a 10 minute spot about it. WHY?

If I wanted to watch karaoke Id go to a bar. I hate that show. At least make em play an instrument or sign sings they wrote. What a waste of time watching that garbage.
