I've never seen those numbers you quote. But Bush does bribe them with large raises. He puts a price on their heads. What is the life insurance policy of one now? 50 to $100,000? Should be $500,000. Put the wounded in VA hospitals? No. They should be in the best hospitals. They should not be paying any taxes. We have 8 veterans at work and not one support Bush or his war. And 10 years after the war the government will forget about the Vets and there medical problems. History shows it war after war.

The overwhelming majority of poor people are poor because they choose that lifestyle. Yes, poor is a lifestyle choice. People are free to choose work or choose drugs and/or a life of sloth.

And I've been poor for much of my adult life due to personal choices (although I couldn't see that at the time). I'm still not rich by any means, but my mindset won't allow me to fall into the 'victim' trap. So I have little pity for the 'poor poor pitiful poor' who suck at life choices. Call me a hardass, but I'm not. I am just intolerant of ignorant, lazy fools. Especially when somebody suggests that somehow it's MY responsibility to support them. Support your own lazy self and quit looking to the government (MY tax dollars) to support you while you continue being lazy and stupid!
I didn't take a "crack at the poor people". The military sends it's recruiters to the poorer neighborhoods and schools. Nobody is asking for your money. Have you read the obits of the those killed in the war? They sure didn't come from upper class neighborhoods. Did you see the 29 mothers on Nightline that lost their sons? No wealthy people in that crowd. As for the poor many don't get a chance in life no matter how bias you are. Many of the homeless are mentally disturbed Veterans ruined by war. Where is the government now for these people that were so desperately needed to fight a previous war? But me and like many others took advantage of the military to learn some sort of a trade. I'm where I'm at today because of the military. I surely don't regret it. And I surely am not against someone enlisting. My problem is how they are being used. But most importantly I earned my right to **** and moan about our corrupt government.

A form, or any form of democracy in the Middle East is a HUGE step in obtaining stability in the Middle East.

If he was ever to ride in a motorcade he should not be allowed to fly the United States flag on the car but rather a white flag which represents his true beliefs in America and its military…

And, for the record, there are many more veterans that are pissed at his statements, policy, and politics, then are pissed about people like me calling him a traitor…
John Murtha a traitor? Unbelievable. Surrender? No. He wants to cut our losses. Rumsfeld said we could be there another 10 years. How many more have to die. Do you think what is happening now in Iraq is promoting or curtailing terrorism? How many more civilians have to die?

I don't care about the Middle East. I care about the USA. We are hated world wide because of our greed and arrogance. Who are we to dictate what is best for the world. Bring all troops world wide home. We sure wouldn't want other nations troops in our country. We need to get out of our oil dependency. Bush has the whole world pissed at us.

As for Murtha he has the right to fly whatever flag he wants.

The following pisses me off:

“Daddy are we almost there?
Daddy are we there yet?
Daddy how much longer?
Daddy are we close?”

Repeat this eleventeen thousand times within twenty minutes.
I believe this is a test to see what shade of bright red Daddy can get.
My parents were right when they said, “You just wait ‘till you have kids…”

Well you may find it hard to believe but you are experiencing the best part of parenthood and their lives. Wait till they're gone. You're gonna miss it. For 18+ years your life is spent giving your full attention to them. And when your help is no longer needed you look back and say that wasn't so bad after all. Then you'll wonder where the hell all those years went.

That is why I don't Drink and Dress, especially during the holidays when the state police have setup roadside underwear checkpoints.
I got pulled one time and it was enough to teach me a lesson.

"Uh, what's the problem ocifer?"

"Sir, you have your underwear on your head."

"but ocifer, these aren't my underwear, I swear!"

"Step out of the car, please."

"OK, ok, they are my underwear but, I can explain!
I just came from the liquer store and I couldn't find my ski mask.

Exclamation

To get it back on track, lol. As much as I LOVE the war for the oil

People who you cannot seem to shake on the interstate. They continue to pass you then slow down, pass you then slow down, over and over and over. I have literally had this go on for HOURS on a few occasions. It's usually the 40 something lady with her Mom in the passengers side, and kids in the back seat. Lots of hand gestures, so you can tell they're more concerned with their conversation, than with what is happening outside the car. Pick a speed and drive it!!

Likewise for the drivers who think it's perfectly fine to go 5 under the limit in the fast lane, causing a dangerous situation while everyone else is forced to pass on the right. I have pulled up behind these people, and leaned on the air horns. They finally move over to the proper lane, and allow you to get by. Once you have passed them, they go right back to the original position you found them in.

While I am at the driving thing, lol. Here is a scenario that gets played out at least 15 times a day while I'm traveling cross country. You're going a comfortable 10 over the limit, and approach someone doing the limit (or under) in the right lane. The people overtaking you at 12 over decide it's their lot in life to keep you from getting around the limit driver, and speed up just enough to block you from moving into the left lane. You're then forced to brake down to whatever speed the slower driver is doing, while the 12 over guy(s) slowly pass(es). Was that confusing enough? haha. If I am the twelve over guy, I put the pedal down which allows them to maintain speed and move over behind me. Either that, or allow them to get in front of me, and slow down the 2-5mph it takes for them to maintain speed. I guess I'm the only one who uses this technique, given how many times it happens to me in a day.

And on the screeching children thing.....

People who refuse to quiet/control their children in ANY public place. Stores, restaurants, and OMG, in airplanes. It is time to stop acting like the universe revolves around your precious kids, and teach them MANNERS. Sure they're cute to you, but they're annoying everyone else within earshot. As a kid I would have been removed from whatever place I was acting up, and taught proper manners in a heartbeat, and not with a time out/reasoning session, lol.

Oooh, another biggie....

Auto parts stores that advertise knowledge and help, when it is nowhere near the truth. Only one store I frequent has a counter person I respect. He was a fleet mechanic before working for the O'Reillys store. You can usually tell when he's working, even if he's not visible. Everyone is in his line at the counter, lol.

The pinnacle of stupidity for me was when I walked into a Car Quest, and asked for a siphon. Two people behind the counter, and NEITHER of them knew what a siphon was. I was dumbfounded to say the least. I walked around the store for a few minutes, found one, and brought it up to the counter for purchase. I made sure to show them both so they would know for future reference. I wasted my time it seems, since it closed 6 months later, and is now a dollar store.

Rant mode off :santa: ,,,,98

Well, not that time actually, haha. Some "mechanic" poured antifreeze in my Moms gas tank after she refused a huge estimate for intake manifold work. My brother and I siphoned some out, poured it on the driveway, and it would not catch fire. Really sad excuse for a human being, to sabotage the car of a 60 year old woman. She drove it about a day after refusing the estimate, then it refused to start. A few hours and some fresh gas later, it ran again. We replaced the intake for her a few days later.,,,,98

Smokers that use their window as an ashtray really **** me off. Littering is illegal and your cigarette butt IS litter. Stop being a lazy inconsiderate slob and use your ashtray! Butts are not biodegradable.
