It is funny when a passerby stumbles into one of these threads and doesn't know the TritonXLT/Mountainer02V8 history.

It really looks like we're cruel and incredibily unhelpful.

In our defense,
From the Member list select 'TritonXLT'

Read the saga from beginning to end.

Then decide whether we are cruel to him or he is cruel to us.
In the words of Popeye, "That's all I can stands and I can't stands no more"
The defense rests.

My thinking is Mountaineer02V8 knows exactly what he's doing and is enjoying it. So, he doesn't 'get to me'.

It's funny reading his stuff and it's funny reading other members blow up when they should know better.

So, it's all good.

I think when you manipulate us into being mean to you when we as a whole are not actually mean people, it is an act of cruelty on your part.

Sometimes I lie in bed at night thinking about something you've written.
For a while I couldn't get to sleep for worrying about my garage door, knowing that you were out there somewhere.

That's cruel.

I don't think any of his vehicles would hold up long enough to make it from Ohio to Virginia. He might be able to take the bus but that would probably breakdown as well. Tritoneer is sort of like our own modern day Job.

Come on, Raoul. You're not going to contradict me and point out my virtues?

Now who's being sarcastic?

It's all in good fun though. Besides, who else could take it?

ok,ok I was reporting you to the mods about twice a week but, I guess management is anti-goat-tite too.

The canned response was,

"We see no problem here.
Odin merely stated what we were thinking.
YOU CHECK BOUNCING SOB!

It gets worse. I'm not a real person at all. I'm just a subprogram of the site designed by Steve to make goatherder's lives miserable. I take on the screen name of Odin's Wrath when he's offline to make him seem more three dimensional. That guy really needs help.

**UPDATE**

called another dealer today for another estimate to re-glue it. They gave me a glass companys phone number which will be able to re-glue this for me for only 75 bucks which is the labor cost. I called that number, they said bring it in an hour and we can re-glue it for you without having to take off the hole thing. Sooo for only 75 bucks vs 400 bucks, I'm going that rout. I'm leaving in 10 mins, so I'll let you know how it turned out when I get back home an about an hour and a half! I hope this works

Just got back home like 10 mins ago.

so I drove 40 mins to get to this place, and very nice people there. I take the guy outside to show him what the problem is on it, and told him the sotry abotu the dealers trying to glue it in, but it won't stay on.

He asked me to wait in the waiting room as he talks to his maneger about it. Maneger comes in the room 5 mins later, told me they are not going to charge me anything! The reason there not going to charge me is there not to sure themselfs if there glue there going to use is going to work. They glued it on with the same glue that holds windsheilds into place. They did a lot better job then I have had at the dealers, and for free!! I'm crossing my fingers hoping this is going to hold tight and not come off again.
I dropped it off afterwards to the dealer again to have them install the new fog lights that have came in after waiting a few days after the drivers side lense cracked during the accident, so everything should be all together new tomorrow.

But there more! I noticed a rough idle now coming from the engine at idle :-( it follows a knocking sound "sounds like valves" I went to the service desk, told them abotu the rough idle, and they said "its normal" lol They said the idle is already preset and can't be messed with. I told them its not normal since it was not doing that when I brought it. I guess after this dealer I'll take it to another dealer to have the idle checked out a long with the valve knocking noise. Never a dull moment

(Oh and by the way, I think the rear end is going out now, it is starting to hum loud at highway speeds) :-(
