what a dangerous setup...someone should be reported...
garland on the hand rails...
poisonous poinsettias in reach of kids, animals, and old people who fell down the steps when they grabbed the garland...
what a horrible picture.
BTW....poinsettias aren't really poisonous....

I gotta say guys, I am a Christian and say it proudly.
We, as a family, are celebrating the birth of our Lord and savior the same way we have for the past 4 years. My wife and I usually buy a small gift for each other, or if there's something we need, we buy that and skip exchanging gifts for ourselves. The kids get only 2-3 relatively inexpensive gifts each and any clothes they may need. This year, we've invited the extended family over, which consists of my Sister-In-Law, her 18 year old daughter, 13 year old son, and her grown son and his wife and child. All of them moved here this year and are struggling to get back on their feet collectively. My wife and I have decided that this year we would focus on them and their needs to show our sons the true meaning of CHRISTMAS and giving and being thankful.
I'm very proud to say that we, as a family, have not fallen prey to the materialistic banter of the world at this time of year. My 4 year old and my 11 year old are very appreciative of all they have. They honestly don't like going to Grandma's (My mom). They've seen in years past how they are treated unequally. This is where our tradition of celebrating the birth of Christ first took a turn for the best. Every Christmas morning, my mother's living room is filled to capacity with toys and gadgets and things that none of us need. She goes WAY overboard. I got tired of dispersing the gifts to my sons equally, after seeing that my 11 year old (her favorite) made out like a bandit, while my 4 year old suffered with what seemed like scraps. So, we no longer subject the boys to that nonsense. We call and wish her a Merry Christmas, but that's it.
Sorry for the rambling...
:santa: Merry Christmas and may God bless you all (even Dzervit!!!). :santa:

For the main debate it is and always will be Christmas for me. Regardless of what anyone else says or thinks. I'm getting close to middle aged I have a right to be set in my ways. BUT... more than that, I want to pass the traditions down to my kids in too.
Now for the second debate about a Christmas tree.
I'd have to look it up to get the exact details but there was indeed a decortated and lit tree in the Christmas story. I think it is mentioned when Jesus was about 1 year old. This tree has created some debate among bible scholars as far as what type of tree it might have been. (Like it really matters) I can't remember any right off hand but also the tree it's self along with traditional decorations are suppose to have some refrence to the worshipping of baby Jesus and the events of the first 2 years of his life.
So a tree decorated for the celebration is indeed a Christmas tree, not a holiday tree.
But on a side not, bare in mind that Chritmas and many of our current traditions are a blend of both Christian worship and Pagan celebration. The Christians willingly moved the clebration of Jesus birth to the same day as the Pagans Winter Festival Celbration. They willingly did this on thier own in an attempt to try and convert the Pagans.
So not only is saying "holidays" instead of "Christmas" a disgrace for Christan belivers, it is also a disgrace for non Christians too.
Ironic isn't it?

Damn Kobi...is there anything you DONT know?
what i don't like are the stores that wont say or acknowledge Christmas but are set up and are selling most of the stuff in the store to people who calibrate Christmas. If people went elsewhere then the stores would have to accept it for what it is. Christmas
Merry Christmas everyone
Merry Christmas everyone
