I hope a box of tissues were included with your 18 inch rear view mirror, cause you cry too much.

driving during the daylight with the fog/driving/whatever lights increases your visibility. Anything that increases my visibility helps those morons out there who aren't paying attention to what they are doing to see me better, and therefore avoid hitting me.

With that said....I wish I could just set my headlight switch to Auto and when it gets dark enough for the headlights to automatically turn on, the fogs also turn on automatically. Anyone know how to do this? I've read about the mods that allow me to MANUALLY pull the switch for the fogs out when it's in the Auto mode, but I don't want to have to manually do anything other than put it in Auto mode ONCE and just leave it.

My Expedition does that (2003 Eddie Bauer)...
I dunno how to wire it- but let me just say, for the record.

I LOVE my fog/driving lights. Love them...

PS- the first american car I ever saw with factory rear fog lights was the 2000 Oldsmobile Aurora. It was one of three cars on my shopping list.

2000 Aurora
2000 Expedition
2000 Infiniti Q45t

I chose the Infiniti, but- ended up getting the Expy bcuz the last two 2000's had been sold, and the 2001 Q45t's were $51,000. (They had cut the 2000's from $51,000 to $36,000.00 and I BS'd around and missed it... Arctic White Pearl... She was a beauty....

I always have my fogs on. It helps light up the ditches on the side and the area in front of your vehicle the lows dont hit. Very nice when meeting another car. It also looks alot better.

You have to remove the switch and file down something I believe. It's not hard to do. Do a search on "fog light switch mod" and see what it kicks back on this site.

Oh Yeah!? I'll use my fog lights whenever I friggin' want to! There!

Just kidding...my F-150 doesn't have any fog lights. Heheh. But my mom's Jeep Grand Cherokee does, and I use them sometimes, like if there's no street lamps above me or something. They actually do help illuminate the road directly in front of you. But they aren't really necessary if you're in the middle of a city.

What I think looks stupid is when people drive around on a clear night in the middle of the city with their Parking Lights and Fog Lights on, and that's it. No actual Headlights at all. Isn't that illegal or something? That makes me want to throw a tomato at them or something just for being retarded.

I've found that cars with those really bright blue headlights (halogen, I think) tend to hurt the eyes.
And don't get me started on people who leave their brights on behind me or coming toward me....

No doubt it is has been proven that Blue is the hardest color on the eye. It does the most damage, So what is a blue illumination doing?

Note the picture in my sig. There are 600 watts worth of KC daylighters sitting there strategically aimed for people who have the unfortunate thoughts that the fog lights on thier ride are not blinding to me.

If you want to run your fog lights it is fine by me. I too think they look cool but I take it none of you saying they don't bother haven't been on the receiving end of the ones on the new Chebby trucks. I would rather they just left the high beams on cause those fogs are brighter that the low beams. Better yet look at one of those trucks in the fog. You won't get me to beleive that they are pointed at the ground. They shoot right up in my eyes. Those kind of fog lights, my friends, will get you a flip of the switch from inside the cab of my truck.

The Ford trucks aren't bad unless it is raining. Dodge trucks I can live with. The wors't are the Chebby trucks and the retards that buy imports and decide to put an aftermarket nose on them that doesn't fit right. Then they ad lights and don't bother to aim them.

I live in a rural farming area. Those lights are also quite handy when you meet a huge tractor with all its field lights shining right in my eyes so i can't see the road let alone the huge chisel plow that sticks out another 10' past the tractor. A flip of the switch gives them a little tase of what it is like and allows me to see what they are pullting so i don't run into it.
