I too like driving around looking "stupid" with my fogs on. I've even done the 9005 bulb mod to them, so they're 65W Cool Whites.

I like it.

And guess what? Sometimes, I even use them in the fog.

And just so you know, if and when I go bald, I'll be buying a convertible. You can then come back and complain about bald men always driving convertibles.

Yeah, thats another thing that pisses me off.

Bald people in convertibles.

Your driving around then all of a sudden they pass you. You go into a curve and the sun glistens off the top of their head and blinds you. They drive off with out a clue while your swerving around trying to see through the bad case of "SUN SPOT" that you now have. I swear to god they must wax their craniums before they leave the house..........

I dont even know why bald people own convertibles??? It isnt like they can feel the excitement of the wind blowing through their hair........

I think they do it just to **** me off......

The pre 2004 had to be switched over to manual head lamp to get the fogs on. The switch would not pull out for fog in autolamp.

Wow, I have a great mind too!!

I use my fog lights whenever I feel like it, not necessarily when there is fog. I like them and mine are factory installed, they don't blind oncoming cars, they shine on the road pretty much directly in front of the truck. I've never seen a car with the rear fog lights, those I think would **** me off.

My rear fog light.
Just one, on the left side.
Required by law, only allowed when visibilty is less than 50 meters.

Here is the switch.

Reflectors on the bumper are required to but I took them off.

It's a $78 fine if you have them on when visibility is greater than 50 meters. (+-)
I regularly see people who forgot to turn them off.
Would be a real bummer if you got a ticket for that but it happens.
I usually notify these people that they got their foglights still on.

You guys want to hear a sob story, ask F150Europe what he pays for gas.

Then ask him what it cost to lisence his truck?????

I cant remeber for sure which one it is, but one of those northern countries have a 100% sales tax on new vehicles.

That’s true, in Europe their gas price structure is not the same as America. In Europe they pay a lot more taxes for their social programs with every purchase of gasoline.

There is nothing free in this world including medical or any other necessity. Sure you may hear things like medical is free in Europe, as well as many other nice benefits but just look at the price of things there compared to hear in America and you soon realize they ain’t getting anything free…

So the next time you hear someone from Europe tell you how they have it bad by paying more for a gallon of gas ask how they like that "free" medical...

OK . . . I'm confused.

Blinding Fog Lights???? The Hell?????

I don't know what it's like in other states, but here in the People's Republic of California I have never seen blinding fog lights . . . not even bright fog lights.

Here in Lost Angeles, the car capital of the planet, people drive with their fog lamps on all the time and never once have I been blinded by them (with the exception of stupid kids driving their tricked out cars and they have put HIDs in where their fog lamps should be and they are not aligned)...

So let me make sure I've got this right...

Here's my car

We've got the DRLs, which give off a kind of flat, almost yellowish kind of light and are always on.

Got the regular headlights

and then, at the bottom . . . down low . . . are the fog lights . . . and they are kind of a yellowish light, certainly not bright white like the headlights.

They illuminate a slighty wider area but do not extend as far as the headlamps and are not that bright.

Any other cars with fog lights on coming toward me (and those number in the Eleventy Kabillion range here) all have fog lights that do the same, and the light points down to the ground. Not toward the opposing drivers eyes.

Are you sure you're not driving below street level? Because that's the only way fog lights could hit your eyes.

Or are drivers in Nebraska all driving seriously raised four wheel trucks . . . like Monster Trucks?

Something doesn't make sense.

Just curious.
