It couldn't be better than an Imo's pizza, though.....

Well, I don't like to brag but I think I can cook with the best of them (my hubby and kids seem to agree ). My favorite magazine is Taste of Home. Some of the best recipes I have came from that magazine. . .check it out here.

Happy eating!!

Speaking of cooking...

Would any of you southwestern members have a recipe for "Armadillo Eggs"? I heard someone on local radio (he's from Texas) talking about making them and they sound great.

Thanks for the link, Rose! I remember that magazine from back home and haven't seen it in quite a few years -- I'll have to head over there and "surf" for a few new recipes to try!

No problem, Reiman Publications (Taste Of Home's parent company) also puts out Quick Cooking--not bad but because the recipes are "quick" they do use a lot of mixes, and Cooking For 2--I just subscribed to this one, with the kids gone from home I need recipes for fewer people and sometimes it's hard to cut large recipes in half or smaller!

I get the Taste of home and the other one also, I think.

Those looking for spices, here is a good company I have dealt with, they send out a catalog with numerous recipes in it.

http://www.penzeys.com/

Also Kraft has a magazine type periodical that they send out, I believe it used to be monthly, but now quarterly.

I get my spices from Penzeys too. Soooo much fresher and way less expensive than buying pre-packaged grocery store spices!

I love cooking and I do it pretty well. Unfortunately I never have time to do it and when I do I don't have the ingredients! I like making chili and other spicy dishes my wife won't eat. That way there is more for me! One of my daughters likes spicy but the other one doesn't.

Wanna share your crab cakes recipe with me? I dont know how to make those, but the wifey loves them, and it would be cool to surprise her one night.
