some french scientist along time ago, Antoine Lavoisier, was beheaded and he promised to blink his eyes as long as he could afterward. his assistant counted 15-20 blinks at about 1 second intervals. but he was french, so it probably isn't true. (there is not historical data to prove that it ever happened. just some people that said they heard it from someone who's third cousin's great-great grandpa who's friend's step-dad was a direct decendent of the assistant.....or something like that)

 

What is disappointing is that his attempt to deepen the gene pool by removing himself failed.
