Basso looks to be the heir apparent, but who knows.... I don't think it will be Jan. He's almost as old as Lance and he never had the explosiveness in the Mts. Vino and Evans put in good shows. Pereiro was very aggressive... I think for the first time in a decade, the Tour will be wide open.

I guess we'll let this thread go into hibernation for a year and then revive it and see what happens.
