Tour De.... De.....De....?
Yes, that's the basic idea.
There is so much more to the tour than just the overall winner.
As you say, the team prize, the mountain prize (or Jersey), the sprint etc etc.
It's really good to see the US riders doing so well and a whole new generation or Bike Enthusiasts coming through.
When I first came to the States on a regular basis 25 years ago it was rare to see a decent race bike....sure plenty of old school Schwinns etc., but little more.
Now most cities seem to have a half decent bike store and you are making some of the best bikes too.
Now we regularly see riders on good machinery all over the place.
Sometimes right out in the middle of nowhere with towns 100 miles apart like in Kansas, and you think.....
"Where the hell have THEY come from, and where the hell are they going TO !!?

Quick update for you non-bikers.... Lance still leading 2 1/2 stages to go.
The guy in second is Ivan Basso, this is a picture of his sister.

C'est just, she is French.
But she is a hotty.
But to name your daughter Paris.

"His wife, Melanie Simonneau, is a former podium hostess from Dijon, France, whom he met by asking an intermediary to slip her a note. The two proceeded to break the rule against riders socializing with the "podium girls," an infraction that resulted in Simonneau's firing. They subsequently married and have a baby daughter, Julia Paris."

Hey RP, you were right, a few pictures do tend to stimulate a bit of interest in a bike race!!!
Armstong puts his final stamp on the Tour this morning. He beat everyone in the Individual Time Trial. Just the leisurely last day into Paris is left. SEVEN IN A ROW! Short of a terrible accident, it's over!
Poor ole' Rasmussen had the ride from hell in his TT performance, two wrecks, and four bike changes. He went from third place to around 7th or 8th!
