I'll take hell with the other

Hell "ain't gonna be no party." And no I am not Catholic. Mary, even though she was a person of God and a good mother, she is not to be worshipped. Jesus is the only way.

most don't get the heaven concept either... or the cost involved. Which like I said earlier, there is more to it than just saying you found Jesus. As far as I'm concerned, unless you live your life according to his teachings, you haven't truly found him yet.

I didn't find Jesus, He wasn't lost ... I was ! In John 6:37 , Jesus says
" him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out " . I came to Him and
received Him as my Saviour, John 1:12 ,and He began a good work in me, Phil. 1:6.

It's by Grace ( Unmeritted Favour ) not of works. Eph. 2:8-9

apparently you are still lost.

Your sig says it all:

running over Chevy's=vandalism, spite
shotgun=pride, violence

Don't recall the man saying that those things were within the scope of getting into heaven.

Easy there J-150, Thats how these threads start getting shut down when they start getting mean. I'm in no position to judge anyone elses relationship with Christ nor thier spritual status and I'm pretty sure no earthly man is either. So lets keep it civil.

Better not hold a bat, a fork, a rolled up newspaper or a the Bible then.

A gun is not an instrument of death. It is a tool. Nothing more.

To me it's life... Thats what has often put food on the table for my kids.

I just dont want to see this a thread of "Who's the better Christian" Or who's living right and who's not, etc, etc.
I have never seen anything good come of a bible war. Ussally just hurt feelings as pride rises. No ones soul gets saved from it, so it is a waste of spiritual energy to fight with each other. There is a bigger war to fight.

that's not what its about.

For me, Christianity and beliefs have been about whats in your heart and the things you do. When you live your life, do good things. Be nice to people. Don't do things you wouldn't want them to do to you. All the things we learned from Sesame Street.

Its not about talking about it, its about living it. Maybe someone is gay. But I dont think they should be denied heaven if the rest of their life follows the teachings. Thats one thing in the Bible that is wrong. There are other things in the Bible that are wrong too (too many to list here).

I dont think homosexuality is the gravest of all sins. But some think it is. You may be hetero, but if your other deeds and actions are of a sinful nature (greed, envy, lust, etc) then you should have no more right to heaven than a gay that leads a "good" life.

I think the biggest part of the problem is the interpretation of the Book. Some put more weight or emphasis on certain passages than other passages.

The double barrel is for protection , I really have a SKS . Don't come
snooping around my house at night, you might get a righteous indignation
hole in your head.

You're against Bush, guns and Christians ... Do you hug trees too ?

yes I hug trees (but only when Im drunk) and no I am not against Bush, guns or Christians.

I'm against hyposcrisy. I'm against people pushing their agenda using God and/or Christ as a tool for what is essentially a politcal gain. I'm against people throwing in my face that they are Christian when their acts and deeds clearly show they are in name only and do not follow the teachings of Him.
