That's right nobody cares. They were convicted and sentenced to death by 12 of the peers. What is great is that they actually had to fulfill their sentence...

HUGE difference from Terri that was not sentence to death by 12 of her peers for killing other innocent individuals. One of the stupidest post I have ever read…

FYI, she is not on Life Support. There is no plug to pull.

Her 'husband' has seen to it that she has been deprived of therapy and medicaton that may have helped her.

Her husband wants to deprive her of food and water so that she will die of thirst/starvation.

Her husband's 'word' is not enough, IMO, especially if the family disagrees. I choose to err on the side of life and respect the wishes of her family, who would take care of her if her husband and the courts would let them.
Wrong, her husband did everything he could for years until doctors determined there was nothing else that could be done. He now wants what she wanted. If there was more that could be done don't you think the parents would have sold their assets and hired the best money could buy to save their daughter? Of course they would but all their doctors have said there is nothing to be done. They are just holding on to hope and memories. Let Terri die peacefully. I think euthanasia should be allowed in cases like this.

Terri

No one would want to be in that state but you never know what you would do as a parent either till the time comes. What business does a spouse have making that decision? He didnt give birth to her. Marriages are temporary, Moms and Dads are forever. If it was my child I couldnt pull the plug either and damn sure wouldnt starve someone to death! This isnt a dog or a deer in the road. There are a many of you on here that I would have NO PROBLEM pulling the plug on after reading what youve wrote. You have no respect for life. Its easy to talk **** on here and think its funny. One day you may have to taste some of your own medicine. Then again you may not love anything but yourself. If god wanted her dead, the feeding tube wouldnt have worked. God doesnt say to do his work. He doesnt say to kill people. Some of you are just plain ignorant and Id rather have Terri around than you. God help all of you.

I'm getting dumber by the second... that veggie's 'durrrrrr' looking pic is on every news program, 'experts' are spewing personal opinion, and every man, woman & child is ranting about this. Who cares? It's been 15 %*&#@(@ years since she turned into a veggie. 7 years of fighting between the tard family & hubby. I hate people that can't let go... her moron parents would prolly also go into serious debt paying thier vet 100K/yr to keep the family pooch on life support... I think her parents need to be smothered with a pillow as well.

Man, that would be great dinner conversation:

Slvrlight04: So Terri how was your day?

Terri: *drool drool drool*

Slvr: Uh huh, I see

Terri: *gurgle*

Slvr: Did I tell you what happened with Meg today?

Terri: *drool drool gurgle*

... you see the pattern?! Yeah, I'm going to hell... Oh, and that whole 'god doesn't want her dead' crap is for the birds. Seriously... god has nothing to do with it. If Dr's didn't help her when she had the heart attack she'd be dead. God wanted her **** dead 15 years ago but some lame-**** humans got in the way and decided to torture her all this time instead of letter her go.

Where's my pillow?!

The sad thing is that doctors would probably save someone like you too. An opinion is one thing but to joke about it is horrible. You are really pushing your luck.

This is not a question about God - Its about laws. If it were about god then we should stop artificially maintaining her life and leave it in gods hands. See what happens. As has been said so many times - His will be done.

As was already stated when she turned 18 she no longer was under her parents control, when she got married her husband was given those rights.

The fact that you don't like it doesn't change it...

Its sad that they put up a website to show how alert she is and all they could muster after years and years was about a combined 60 seconds of video that shows little or no recognition of the outside world. Its easy to cut and paste video out of context to show almost anything. Hollywood does it all the time. The video is described as being meaningful but after caring for stroke victims and Alzheimer's victims you realize that eye blinks and groans don't necessarily mean anything.

Well slvrlight04 I think YOU made the best post in this thread. I have been reading it for two days now and there are some cold hearted sick ****** on here. First of all this is NONE of our business. It is the parents decision to end their childs life, not the hubands. All of you who have said pull the plug probably dont have kids. These people are going through the hardest decision of their lives and I dont envy them. There is NO right or wrong here, its their choice only. The sad part is all the people on here joking about it. I love this forum but I am a little ashamed.

I think it's wrong to keep some one alive by force. A feeding tube is forceing her to stay alive. I want her to make a full recovery as much as the next person but lets face facts here we all know inside ourselfs that she is not going to recover. Hopes and dreams are 2 dangerous things when not used right. She looked like a very active person when she was well she will never be able to go back to that life style. She will be lucky if she has the mental capacity to shake hands or make eye contact.

I would not want my child to suffer like that especially for 15 years thats no way to live. It's time to let go.

I was watching something talking about Terri and they were talking to this old lady who has kept her daughter on life support for roughly 35 years if I remember correctly. She feeds her 50yr old daughter every 2 hours and spends all her time taking care of the vegetable. You're not going to hell dzervit, you're 100% correct. That's all I have to say in this thread

Eh... hopefully the paramedics don't get to my place in time and keep me in a veggie-like state. One good thing is coming out of this circus... I think a lot of living wills are getting written up with orders to yank the plug/tube after x amount of time.

It is the parents decision to end their childs life, not the hubands.
HA! CHILD YES, NOT a grown adult that's married and 41 %*# years old... she's not a 8 year old kid anymore.

This is odd, you're saying that God wanted her life to extend, so he allowed a feeding tube to substain her life? I would think God makes his decisions without the use of life suport machine's.

It's her time to go, God has proved that, humans are delaying the inevitable!

Any concious human I know would not choose to live that life, period. Even if you had the ability to reason in your head, but your body could not do it, who would want to live in that confined life? Not me!
