Your points are valid; but they make my point from previous posts as well. Nothing the current President has done in reaction to 9/11 would have been any different from any other president. I could not agree more.

Monday morning QB? LOL, good one. We are al Monday morning QB's because NONE of us are decision makers. All we can do is sit and either agree with what has already taken place, or disagree. Nothing you or I can do will make any difference when decisions are made.

SNIP

I thought we needed a change, so I voted for Kerry.

The end.
The Monday morning quaterbacking that I was referring to was being done by your man Kerry.

He was saying what a bad job Bush did but had no unique inspirational, approach of his own.

Ill say it again its very easy for someone to criticise the actions of the past - with no real solutions for the future.

"He did it wrong and we have a better plan"
" He didnt get the UN to approve it - We would "

What ever....

Doug

Read it Nam, then report back to us....

If you did go to Nam in 69, you can't tell me you didn't cry out for God on a few occasions... Unless you were out of harm's way. There are no aethiests in fox holes.

Besides, how do you KNOW God doesn't exist. Did he tell you?

STX, I hear what you're saying. All I'm saying is don't try to bend the country to fit your (Not you, per say- but anyone's) ideology of how religion should be dealt with. If you don't like a certain thing, don't listen to it. I don't like Rock music, so you won't catch me at a Val Halen concert- ya know?

But, if I'm at the Super Bowl, and Van Halen is performing at half-time, I can stand it for a few minutes. That's all I'm saying. Mutual respect...

People in this country can pray for whom they want, to whom they want; or not pray and be non-believers. As long as we're tolerant of each other, then I don't see the harm....

I think we are along the same path... My point is that the policies a president governs our nation with should respect all Americans cultures and beliefs, and have all American's best interest at heart, not just the evangelical Christians beliefs that support Debuya so strongly (or for that matter any other religious group or culture.)

You state "Don't try to bend the country to fit your ideology" I completely agree... I just think the president should abide by the same pricipal, especially when forming policies that will effect all Americans.

Don't sweat it, not like anybody from Europe would ever be able to protect themselves. Its ok, America will always be around with a strong leader like President Bush to take care of the weak nations of Europe, so sleep well tonight since America has provided you the blanket of security, a blanket you are not, nor will ever be able to provide yourself.

I always find it amusing when the protected whine about who is protecting them and how they conduct themselves so they will be able to continue to protect the weak and helpless.

On the other hand we know Europe is just pissed off because they have very little if any say in world events and issues anymore…

Oh well, so sad, sleep tight as Americas military and leadership has provided you that right…

Since when was god a he?

And yes ive read the bible when i was young, more like brainwashed to believe that rubbish.

So the bible says god created the earth in 7 days? I hate to tell you this pal but the bible is just a book, a book is man made, your religion is man made.

Van Halen isnt the cause of wars. Wars come about the majority of the time due to religion.

Not that anybody in europe would be able to protect themselves? You sure do big up yourselves.

Europe is just pissed off because they have very little if any say in world events and issues anymore???? You mean like invading poor countries, taking over oil, supplying arms to israel so the Us can have a foothold in the middleeast etc.

I dont see North Korea or Iran backing down anytime soon.

No need to tell me anything, i know its a book that i really dont care for personally, but that doesnt mean there arent important things contained in it. Ill assume your statement about "your religion" was directed at someone else and not me as i stated i have no religion.

Your the one that brought up the bible in the first place asking for a reference. When i prove you wrong you come back with "well its just a book anyways". Why the hell did u bring it up then if its just a book. Dont use the bible as evidence when it supports your story and when your proven wrong, dismiss it. Thats a poor way to present your case.

When Europe is in trouble, who they gonna call?

America, because Europe has neither the money, the power, the knowledge nor the ***** to protect themselves…

Iran and North Korea will see the light trust me. America is not like some wuss country like France or Spain and Iran and North Korea were waiting to see if Americans would back down like those in Spain did.

Since Americans did NOT back down as we have NEVER backed down Iran and North Korea will rethink their security concerns, trust me they may be stupid and naïve but they are not liberals who are clueless about reality…

Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God..."
Looks like vvyk3d beat me to it. From memory I thought He said beasts instead of behemoth, but same difference I guess. Either way, some scientists believe that rhinos are one of the dinos left from many many years ago.

This country was founded under the church- you remember the whole "One Nation under God" thingy, right?

I think the fact that we are so diligent in our effort to seperate church and state that we are undermining our very eixistence- in our effort not to offend. If you are offended, too bad. You're American- you live in this land, under God's graces. If you aethiest, simply tune us out. I don't think legislation should be put in place to appease non-believers, so they can sleep safely under the umbrealla of freedom and democracy our forefathers, and soldiers have provided.
cia, I must say, I completely agree with you. That was very well said.
