Well, she's gone...

My fiancee of a year and a half left me today. She said we've changed a lot, and that we're different people. She said that she wants to go out and experience different people. I don't know if I should wait to see if she'll come back or not. I've been so despondant all day. I guess I'm still trying to realize she won't be walking through my door tonight, with that bright white smile she always wore. She said she needs some time to think things through.

So yea... my weekend blows...

Man that blows. Been there. I'd say that just about everybody here has been kicked down low a few times by the fairer sex. I say nail her sister or best friend. It won't make you feel much better; but, at least she'll be sharing your frustration.

Just kidding.... Well, sort of. Everybody deals differently. I hope you don't let her affect your life in a negative way. Live and learn.

Sorry to hear about that, Flea. Happens to the best of us, happens to me all of the time. Oh well, maybe one day, we'll all meet the right one. Till then, we drink like madmen.

Been there, done that (except that a few weeks later, the guy that "changed her" move in with her). and the worst part is there is absolutely nothing anyone can say or do. You just have to make it through. I found the best thing to do was not be alone. When I was alone I was either so depressed I physically ached or I was drinking till couldn't drink anymore... I don't recommend the drinking. It doesn't make your problems go away, just your money, and clear thoughts...

Everyone kept telling me what ROUSHFAN-1 said, and at the time I told them to go to Hell, but looking back now, he's right!

Just keep your head up, and as bad as it may sound, they're right, there are other fish in the sea. It just took me a couple years to trust them again, and I have a little cutie now to go with my new found trust...

Really sorry... wish there was something we could do...

She's not seeing anyone else; I know this for fact. She said that I smothered her and she needs time and space... I don't know if I believe that; if you love someone so much, you shouldn't want to be away from them.

To top it all off, I got shot at by some drunk guy last night. I have to go file a police report today; the officers that showed up didn't have any in their car.

I don't know if I should wait for the person I planned my life with to come back, or say f*ck it and go out...

Thanks for all the kind responses, guys.

You got SHOT? Jeez, I'm sorry. I know it may seem quirky at first but soon enough you'll see that everything happens for a reason...

Go out and have a good time. Life is too short to wait for someone that can't make up their mind what they want. Believe me, if you treated her right, she'll want some sort of relationship with you in the future. Just don't do anything stupid, like take her back later.

Flea, why wait home for something that may or may not happen. Go out and do whatever you want to do. It is your life and if she doesn't wish to be a part of it then why should you have to suffer any longer than you wish to. Go out with friends, family and do whatever but get out and have fun. Hey, you never know ... Mrs. Right #? might be around the corner and you don't even know it.

Just keep your head up and keep on smiling, life is too short to be unhappy !!!!!!!!!

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Thumbs up

You may not feel like it now, but your a lucky man, you just dodged two bullets. If you had been married and then found this out, it would have been a financial and legal disaster and the emotional toll would have been greater than what you are presently experiencing. About 50% of new marriages end in divorce, 2/3 in cali, been there.

Women are like a city bus, there will another one along here shortly.

No you didn't...

I don't know what's up with those paragraphs...

Every time you try to delete them they repeat even more...

Actually...a lot more than two paragraphs repeated...

Joe-
just delete the whole thing and I'll try to repost without goof ups later
