Aw hell, it ain't a perfect world! Plus I read that the cork actually doesn't give you any more distance, it just allows you to swing a bigger bat at a faster speed. So?? Why is it illegal. Make it legal and let everyone use it if they want to. Then you don't have to worry about sneaks trying to get a corked bat in the game. Game?, that sorry word should never be used to describe baseball, or any other sport after the age of the participants get over 11, it's a business opportunity. As long as there's money involved, participants will find ways to "enhance the chances for success". It's only a game if it's played for free with no stakes involved.:o
