Ashamed that the President in from Texas? Now that they go overseas and say stuff like that, I hope he is ashamed of THEM being from Texas. I liked them, too. Oh well.

I agree with Swofford, she is upset President Bush is not listening to the very SMALL minority of opinions like her's.

She does have it right, it is her freedom, because of America, to voice her opinion. It is my right and many others to not buy her music and make her poor as well...

She should learn when she is in the public arena to keep her mouth shut IF she intends to make money. Politic's and business do not mix.

Aren't they from Jersey? Not that I'm a huge supporter of this war, but there is some blatent stupidity on both sides of the fence here. If these celeb don't keep their retarded mouths shut, we will be in a civil war soon.

Yep they are all from Jersey, not many people know that.

Most people also don't know that there were originally four of them but, one of them dropped out, grew a beard and bought a Lightning.

heard this the other day on the local country station, funny thing is i haven't heard one of their songs since. i'm hoping the local station quit playing their stuff. i really liked their music too.
guy on the station said he hopes americans will boycott their concerts to show them how much impact one stupid remark could have.

I mean really, I am totally against censorship, but I am all for respecting the military and not being ungrateful, and to me, that just seems like she is being disrespectful to the country at the time that the country needs everyone's support. Of course people are going to complain about having to fight for people like her, she evidently doesn't care what the country is doing for her.

How the hell did we get stuck with them ??? Lets keep that quiet.

Besides they friggin killed Landslide!

And if they should be upset about anything shouldn't it be that Country singers are not from the south anymore

"politics and business don't mix"? Which hole you dweebs been hiding in? Politicians mix well with business: politicians are happy to take business money ; businesses are very happy to exchange money for favoritism and "preferred" support. Have someone read you the latest on the current administration's work to protect doctors from lawsuits for botched services (no restrictions on what they do wrong); protection for pharmaceutical companies in case they sell dangerous drugs; remove environmental controls on the military and defense contractors (spell the 'businesses'); outsourcing 850,000 government jobs (although Congress did limit our President to 425,000 jobs); ...shall I go on?

And no: I'm not a left wing, liberal, military bashing, pinko commie, ***. I wore my uniform 28 years and 10 months; voted Republican the last 30+ years (but never agian unless the Demos run gore or Killary); Im a Christian and married to the same woman almost 24 years. I also drive a pick-em-up.

But I can read, think, analyze, and make even the most obtuse connections. I don't know where our President was born, but his family moved to Texas from Connecticut. The politician-heavy family also had connections with the Silverado bank (a business)....hence the residencies outside Texas.

So let the little ladies say what they want. may sound dumb to some, but they pay taxes (more than all of us combined, probably), possibly vote, and hold US citizenship. At least they weren't the three Congressmen last year who chumped the USA....from Baghdad (Biden, curley, and Moe). The 'Chicks' did it from England...of course, France might've been a better choice.......

So let it go, enjoy their music, and look to someone else for your preferred political leanings. They didn't attack the military in the fields nor the military leadership. Remember: there is no BAD advertising...only GOOD advertising! Of course, being from Texas, they can't be any too bright, anyhooo.

**** what the dam dixie chicks think about our president. At least he dont sit around moaning about waiting on some travling soldier to come home dammit. Im behind president Bush 100%. Some people underestimate W cause hes a southern country boy. He speaks a touch slower with a draw and uses some weird wording, that doesnt make him any more ignorant than a president that looks American in the eye and swears he never got head from a white house intern ****. Hollywood and all these famous bastards need to keep their dumbass opinions out of what our president and milatary do. If theyre not willing to defend our country, then they can go defend Bin Ladin with their peace signs in his sand caves.
The "Chicks Eat ****s" can eat mine!

The Celebrity Pundits want to speak their minds in their bully pulpits and hide behind the 1st amendment but they cry like babies when us other normal citizens exercise our 1st amendment rights to boycott them.
