That's me, wait maybe it's not. I own my own business, served in the army reserves for 6 years, and pay my taxes. Maybe I would get more respect if I followed the example of the local police, ie. pulling people over for no reason, shooting peoples dog after 5 cops pull over innocent family, bashing drunk drivers head into patrol car thus killing him, drug raids on wrong houses and killing the occupants, shoot and kill shop owners who have just been robbed at gun point and fired back at criminals, high speed chases which have killed several people over the last year(one yesterday), and turn a blind eye to crime.

BTW, I followed the link and I really enjoyed reading the following stories. When will the madness end?
women police officer cheated on exam and DA won't prosecute
women who's finger was cut off by cop.

click here to get some edumacation son. http://realpolice.net

I've got plenty of "edumaction" thank you sir.
Not a young punk by any means, I turned 45 this year, and if I do need more education, a police website would be the last place on this earth I would look.

I have had way too many moronic encounters with our so called protectors and servers to have any other opinion of them.

seattlesnake and vinny, I couldn't agree more. I come from a small town and I am also an alcohol- and drug-free teenager who is targeted simply for having a nice truck. I have been in situations like the one described by SCOTTSBEATER many times. its total BS, these guys that harass us should be fired, but it never happens something about the "brotherhood of the boys in blue", even if you complain to the chief (which I have), he will usually say his hands are tied and he cant do anything, especially if youre dealing with a senior officer, or a sergeant, and you are 18.

It all comes down to jealousy. if most of these guys had the intelligence to be holding a better-paying job, they would be. like someone else said, the ones that have the ego are the kids that were picked on in school and became cops for revenge. I was dealing with one guy who was 30, still lived with his parents, and used to pull over and harass the girls from my high school and try to hit on them, he would even come into the cafeteria at school! thankfully, he was let go, but only after one of his BULL***** tickets cost me a 6 MONTH LICENSE SUSPENSION

If I knew they was coming I wouldn't be there in the first place.

I have to give the cops credit though, two of those four times I was innocent and yet they were able to beat a confession out of me three times.

One time me and a two of my friends were sitting in the back of a pickup in a grocery store parking lot. We were wearing some camos and we had all just got done paintballing. Then, all of a sudden 3 cop cars pull up (2 regular patrol units, and 1 undercover) The cops get out and they started to pull their guns on us. We were like "what the hell". They said they got a complaint that somebody was shooting paintballs at cars. Well, first off, we didnt even have out paintball guns out, they were safely stored in out bags. Second, we were only throwing the paintballs at the cars ( yea i know, it was immature. it was like 2 yrs ago).
Well, anyways, it was pretty gay that it took all of them to take us to the department, and the fact that they were pulling their guns out on us.

Complaining to the chief would do me no good because then they would just target me more and try to pin me for something. I live in a small town and my truck kinda stands out. They could harrass me constantly if they knew i placed a complain. It is probably better to just keep my mouth shut.

Thumbs up

Vinny, if it happens again do what I do.
Take off your shirt and run like hell.

Do as many obstacles as you can but don't run so good they can't catch ya'.

Make sure you ask them the date that your episode will be on and call all your friends so they can watch.

Raoul i thought that was you on COPS last nite--the episode where you came out of the run down double wide with a handfull of your wifes hair in one hand and a bottle of whiskey in the other, cussing out the cops and still able to smoke your cigarette wtih your toothless gums, telling the gun-drawn cops that was the last time she ever bit*hed off at you

Naw, that was my rich cousin. I knew it wasn't me as soon as you said 'double-wide'.

I should be so lucky.

I don't think all cops are worthless. I do think that some take their job way too serious. I'm 28, by some standards that's a "young punk" as Buford puts it. I don't like being harassed for nothing. Driving the speed limit, using all signals, not following too close, obeying ALL traffic laws should allow you to go about your business no matter what kind of car your in PERIOD. Taking shots in the dark by ones appearence?? That's unconstitutional. I'm not saying that I don't stereotype, but I'm not in the position to make someones life a living hell by doing it like a law enforcement officer is.

Buford, I agree. The statement "all cops are worthless" does not belong on this board. I do however think this thread belongs here because it shows that the cars (in this case trucks) we drive effect the way law enforcement perceives us.
