2015 Super Duty in detail

Though I posted this already, but it got lost. Anyways, check out the details:
http://www.autoweek.com/article/2014...NEWS/140309917

Key points: F-450 has a GCWR of 40,000 lbs with a max tow of 31,200 lbs. when properly equipped. That tow rating goes down slightly as you add options of course, but it looks like the Ford will be the new king. As we know, this will be a true F-450 so GVWR whould be up meaning payload will be up. This trucks starts at 8,800 lbs so hopefully a GVWR of 16k+. It will need that payload capacity otherwise that big tow rating is a gimmick (see dodge 3500)

The F-350 will get an additional 3300 lbs. This should bring it closer to 28,000 lbs. Although smaller than the 3500 Dodge, REALISTIC 5th wheel capacity should be the same.

Then there is the Engines. Ford is tauting 440hp and 860 Tq but most importantley, much improved engine braking.

The new medium duty trucks are sexy! They get the new engine as well as the fan-favorite 6.8 V-10. Didn't see any info on gas engines for the super duty trucks.

Ford nailed it on this deal. That engine is going in everything up to an F750 now too. Now more cummins. Ford will continue to lead the pack in innovation, reliability, and performance.
Well done!

The F-750 looks to be an awesome tractor for shorter hauls. It would be cool to see a
v-10 based off the coyote but Ford would be more likely to expand the ecoboost line
for those that don'twant a diesel. Right now the 6.8 v-10 is still king for commercial gas. Who here is hoping for an Ike Gauntlet run using the same as what the Dodge towed?

I'm hoping that someday there will be a nice heavy duty manual option again.

What are the new F-250s with 6.7s averaging for fuel economy these days?

Wonder why they didnt do something about the ugly looks. I hate the looks of the 2008+ super duty's... and they changed the design of the dual rear wheel shrowd and looks even worse
