Thinking of deleting your diesel? Better act fast!

Just wanted to pass this along to any Powerstroke owners thinking of deleting their trucks. Apparantly the EPA is cracking down. Yesterday H&S suspended the sale of any of their products capable of modifying the emissions equipment on late model diesels. If you act fast, you can probably still find H&S tuners in stock at some distrubuters. Here's a link.

Stupid EPA can go blow donky ****s. Tuning is the only way these 6.4L trucks are gonna be around after 10 years when the 1600 deg regens melt the stock motors down. Guess I gotta order my EGR delete kit here quick.

Even the world of motorsports will lose its sweet spot. I certainly wouldn't build a puller and have all that time-bomb garbage under my truck. I'd quit at it since I can't build something for a hobby

I know right? Choke the trucks engine, cause engine problems and burn more fuel just so there isn't as much black smoke!

But you're burning more fuel CLEANLY!!!!! SO its BETTER for EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont have a diesel, so correct me if I am way out in left field, but cant you still delete it without the kit if you know someone (or can do it yourself) that can fab up the parts?

It's the tuning, not the physical parts.

I'm sure with a good tune, your truck probably burns cleaner now than it did stock

No, you have to shut off the regeneration process in the programming, or you will still be dumping raw fuel on the exhaust stroke.

Gotcha, sounds like its not a good idea to do that... Sounds like a good time to get to know a programer.

The trucks only smoke when you put the hammer down. you can set your defueling as well. Yah a little more smog may come out, but if you burn less fuel that seems like a blue ribbon for saving the planet, not to mention the extra replacement parts to fix a blown up truck that is stock.
