I really don't know what happened, but I think I hurt it when I blew the turbo boot off in July last summer and it just finally had enough and gave out. I was running Eric's tow tune pushing 32lbs of boost towing my 5er up a pretty good grade and that's really the only time the motor had seen that amount of boost. I had run the extreme street for most of the summer but I didn't beat on the truck except to embarrass a Dodge Hemi one night because the guy wouldn't give up.

Thank's Jake, probably not for three months or so. I have some other things going on right now that I need to take care of before I do the truck and depending on the outcome it may effect the truck repairs. The quote I got from the dealer was for right around $3,500 for stud's, gaskets, updated oil cooler, and that's baring they don't find anything else when they take it apart and get the heads off the motor. Yeah the cost to fix these truck's is almost insane.

yea im not taking any chances on more down time and thats why i got the spare heads. its only gonna be about 400 to have them machined so thats not too bad in the long run.

3500 is right on par with the costs down here. im going to be around 2700 with the 4" TBE and no oil cooler. same shop is at 3200 with oil cooler, egr delete and coolant filter. but still not cheap. its been good that i can keep it running while getting all my parts and money together and that really helps things out.
