Wouldn't you think that after he felt it getting deep, he would have stopped and backed out instead of driving in deeper? He obviously didn't "plow" into the water. The stupid meter is pegged.
Haha, I didn't even think of that. It must have been his first 4x4/truck and thought it was invincible.

My Dad is the parts guy where he took it to get it repaired (that's how I know it was $5000 so far). I'll see if I can get a full parts list when they're done ordering.

Exclamation

Somethign seems a little fishy here.....

It looks almost like a photoshop'ed picture....

The rear tires are showing and the font are gone....OK yes its an angled "bowl" shaped "crater"... BUT if the front wheels are GONE and the rear still show, shouldnt the truck be angled alot more? (towards the front).

The truck looks WAY to clean to be in the mud...

Look at the surroundings... MUD, ALL MUD...

I KNOW you cant drive through that without some spray up on the truck. When I wash my Red 08 F250 With MUDFLAPS, I make sure it's SPOTLESS, and I drive a MILE OR LESS its got spray/film/dust on it. That truck looks Dealer Lot or Car Wash Clean!

I am going to claim Bullsh*t on this one! Who's with me? Maybe its a test!

Roger

Dude, the truck is 2 tone. Just follow the body line and you can see that its slanted. That is NOT a Photochop job.

I agree the truck is strangely clean for being in such a muddy area. The pick does look real. He must have been going really slow as he trashed his truck.

I'd love to hear the whole story. There has got to be more to it than we all can imagine.

Oh it most definately is real. I just stopped by Ford on my way home from school to check it out.
a) It is a gasser.
b) The $5000 in damage is mostly wiring harness, all fluids, etc. They haven't even attempted to check and see if the engine is hydrolocked.
c) Here are some interior shots for your viewing enjoyment.

Engine bay doesn't look too bad.

I got my oil changed last week and there was an 08 sitting in there with the engine out. The guy had ran it off in the creek and hydrolocked it. The "estimate" on it was $20K plus labor.....I think I would have had to just let them repo it!

me too...I've had water running in through the windows of my 93 Bronco (lifted with 35" tires) and she was driving just fine...opened the doors to let the water out and that's about all the "maintenance" I did. never had a lick of problems

that truck is way to damn clean...something else is up...insurance scam?

Nope. Just an idiot.
Why would he bother trying to scam insurance to get a new truck? This truck was less than 72 hours old when it happened. If he got a new truck it would be an entire 3 days newer. I know some people trade up their vehicle every few years, or sometimes even every year, but not every 3 days. Come on now.
Believe me. I've personally talked to the owner, the parts guy who ordered the parts, and the mechanic working on the truck. The owner is just a fool.

I didn't post these pics because I was trying to trick you guys, I posted them because I thought it was hilarious.
