I promised I wouldn't post these but...

...I just couldn't help myself.
Back story: A graduate in my program got a good job right out of school so decided to buy a brand new F250 4x4. Good for him. Here's where it goes downhill...

No peeking.

Stats of the truck:
400km on the clock, hasn't made his first payment yet. In fact this was Saturday or Sunday and he bought it Friday afternoon, and so far $5000 in parts have been ordered. No labour costs yet.

I can't imagine $5k? It should be no big deal. Replace the carpet and dry it out...at least from what the pics show...

I think he means 5K in aftermarket parts (IE lift, wheels, tires) have been ordered.

I hope

No, the engine is completely hydrolocked. That's $5000 in a new diesel, among other things.

Actually, what I find interesting is that based upon the lack of dirty water spray all over the nice white sheetmetal, the driver obviously drove in real slowly. It doesn't even have spray around the wheelwell openings. Driving in at anything less than a crawl at hat depth would have diirtied the truck instantly. Wouldn't you think that after he felt it getting deep, he would have stopped and backed out instead of driving in deeper? He obviously didn't "plow" into the water. The stupid meter is pegged.
