97 expedition fog lights

My 97 doesnt have fog lights installed, but while under it, I saw that there looks to be already wired for the lights. Is this correct and is all that I have to do is get the brackets, lights, and new headlight switch.

All trucks are "pre" wired for most any accessory. Used to be a kit. All you needed to do was replace the headlight switch, and install the fog lights themselves. DONE.

FWIW-I had a 2000 Expy Eddie Bauer edition, I swapped out the front bumper lower valance to the Harley style and I still have the original fog lights and mounting brackets, if you have any interest, PM to discuss.

You might have the circuitry at the Head Lamp Switch, but you might need to add the Bosch 12V-30Amp SPST Relay in the Engine Compartment Relay Cabinet. There is a companion 20Amp Fuse in that same compartment.

I know this is old but I wanted to know if this also applies to a 97 XLT Expedition... My fogs stopped working a few days after I installed an HID kit...

I am pretty sure it either shares the relay with the DRL or is the one directly beside it.

theres 2 fuses related to the fogs but both are shared #9 under the hood and #27 under the dash. I havent figured out where the relay is yet, but I am told if you headligh switch has the "pull out" feature to turn on the fogs is should already be wired up and ready to go. have you tested the wires for the fogs to see if they are live when switched on?

The bulb socket gets no power... there is power at the switch though, and the fuses are fine... It's gotta be the relay but I don't know which one it is, nor has anyone been able to tell me...
