so he came by and i checked it out it doesnt sound real bad it just doesnt sound cool i thought you would here turbo more but it sounds like every other v6 ive heard pretty lame

he was pretty disapointed after listening to videos he found on internet he thought he would like it...

funny thing is his girlfriend was laughing at him and said she didnt want to ride in it if it sounds like that and thats hillarious!!

Hahaha I've heard one near me. Guy has a nice fx4 super crew with a lightbar and whatnot. I chuckled to myself. Keep it stock... Yuck 😲

Turbo or not it's still a 6, never heard one sound as good as an 8. I agree its probably better to leave them stock.

X1000, never put an exhaust on a 6 cyl. 4cyl, V8, or bigger. Only exhausts worth hearing. That's why I would not want an ecoboost.

The weather has been so nice today, so I was riding around town with my windows down. As I was enjoying the breeze and the soothing turbo whistle, an '07-'08 Lariat drove by me and I heard the 5.4 rumble. It sounded sweet. It definitely drowned out the sound of my Ecoboost, and for a moment it made me miss my old 5.4 and the exhaust I had on it. Only for a moment though. Once he was gone I was happy to hear my turbos again.

Sound is not important enough to me to be a deciding factor in engine selection. Although I do miss the V8 rumble, I'll definitely never even try to mess with the exhaust on this truck. I know better It doesn't matter how much power you have, a V6 with aftermarket exhaust will always sound like a weed wacker.

Here is mine, it's no V8 sound but it doesn't sound bad at all, I am happy with it and I would recommend it.

Lol don't mind the background noise, it's just a water fountain behind the camara.

Thanks man, I think it's the turbo whistle that makes it sound so good, my buddies say it sounds like a baby diesel

The turbo whistle definitely helps, but the exhaust note itself sounds more "exotic" (German, etc.) versus gay Honda like the EBs normally do. Corsa systems on V8s tend to have the same exotic type sound, so it's interesting to see that it extends to these as well.
