You can always try and see how yer truck feels without it. If you notice some undue resonances, reinstall it, if possible.
MGD
that's exactly what its for. You're going to want to keep that on so there's no unnecessary rattling. As far as that pipe goes you're probably going to have to cut it. But you might want to cut it as close to the muffler as possible so you can use the existing pipe as much as possible unless you plan to replace your pipe. Also with the shorter muffler hangars may not fit in the same spots so you're gonna want to pick up some extra hangars to support the new system. Good choice on the Magnaflow
you wont regret it.

I'll try installing without the weight and see how it feels.
Thanks again for all the help!!
ok...picked up my kit 15609 last night. I hope it fits!
Any suggestions on how to remove that pipe after the cat easier? Up here in the north east rust makes things more difficult. It looks like mine is rusted on there pretty good.
Thanks

Heat and penetration oil.
She's done and WOW that was pretty easy. The only issue is I only have about 1/2 inch clearance from my spare tire.
I love the sound of this exhaust....thanks to all for the help.
On a side note...the spring thats attached to my spare tire cable rusted off. It fell apart in my hands. I priced out a new spare tire carrier and its $230.00!!! All I need is the new bottom half the holds the tire in place.
Any thoughts on this?

Glad you like it. Worth every penny!
About the tire carrier, a salvage yard would be fine normally. But being in MA, you may have a hard time finding one that's worth paying money for.
You could go to a hardware store and get a spring that will fit along with a cable tie. Then it's just a matter of cutting the OE cable tie off the end of the cable and putting the new spring on.
If you want to go new, I've ordered several things from Tasca before and they've been great. They're a Ford dealer based in Rhode Island.

Thanks again guys.....
I tried to micky mouse it but I don't feel safe with the way I have it. I trailer a boat and I'd hate to have the tire fall off and crash into my boat, never mind another car.
How do I remove that black long tube thats connected to the carrier? I'm going to remove it and purchase one on e-bay.
Thanks
