I've heard it. Does not sound good. The pleasant throaty Ford V8 sound turns into an obnoxious mess. True for any gas engine I've heard without mufflers. Diesels on the other hand can get away with it.

That's what mine sounds like, but mine's not as loud. I think the resonator delete I did was the turning point. It was still nice and mellow when I just put on the 14" magnaflow.

BTW Op are you talking about the old school pre 97 pushrod 302, or the new 2011-up coyote 302?

^^ I agree with Darren. Not feelin' it....

I've heard one 5.0 in person with no muffler. As raspy as the 5.0s in the vidyas Darren posted sound, you can't imagine how raspy it is in person.

Yours sounds like the trucks in the vidyas Darren posted? I have the same setup as you (resonator delete and itty bitty Magnaflow), and it doesn't sound anything like those.

Reckon ye gotche a leak summers?

Maybe, I'll have to check and see. My resonator delete is not welded, I just used stainless band clamps, one or both might be leaking.

Could very well be leaking. I initially had a very small leak with my setup, and it was VERY raspy until it got hot enough to seal better.

I bet your friendly, local muffler shop would weld that up fer ye purty cheap.
