Flowmaster super 10 SIDE EXIT
Need answer TONIGHT! 2 1/2" vs. 3" exhaust pipe
Please respond I am offing my muffler tonight! I have a 2000 5.4L V8 and has stock 2 1/2" exhaust and I want to know if I make it 3" what are the pros and cons? I and getting a flowmaster super 10 and dumping it before the rear tire passanger side... I want to keep drone to the miniamal !

i have a 3" muffler as well. it has a reducer going into it, i havent gotten any dyno numbers but it didnt affect performance, it prolly helped more than anything....although mine is a MAGNAFLOW FTW!!!
No pros if you are just changing the muffler to 3". But if you change the y pipe to a maggy y pipe with a 3" out then run 3" piping to the tip and run a straight thru design muffler, then you might see a little performance.
x2, that is my precise setup. No noticeable low-end power loss, but an improved higher RPM range performance. Sounds much cleaner and deeper toned than 2.5" single pipe also. Do it without worry.
Hello I have a 5.4L V8 I ordered a flowmaster 3" 10 series and and running a side exit that comes out before the back passanger tire. How much will all the pipe be? I already bought the muffler and tip but stock exhaust is 2 1/2" so I will need all the pipe! I am taking it to a shop (oxbow muffler) and they bend their own pipe... How much would it be for the pipe, bending it, and instalation. THANKYOU please comment your thoughts... A price rage would be great I'm thinking like 60-80? But i don't know PLEASE COREECT ME!
Once again think you please comment!

Once again thank you!
I ordered a 3" flowmaster super 10 for my 2000 5.4L f150(of coarse). And also got a 5" outlet gibson metal militia tip. It will come out before the rear passenger side tire! I was wondering:1.) will this have drone? (3" pipe single exit)
2.) ** how should I angle the tip?
*****should it be coming strait out?
*****or should it be angled facing back a little bit?
It will be coming in 5 days so please post your thoughts!
ANY COMMENTS ARE APPRICIATED!
THANKYOU!
