No pros if you are just changing the muffler to 3". But if you change the y pipe to a maggy y pipe with a 3" out then run 3" piping to the tip and run a straight thru design muffler, then you might see a little performance.

x2, that is my precise setup. No noticeable low-end power loss, but an improved higher RPM range performance. Sounds much cleaner and deeper toned than 2.5" single pipe also. Do it without worry.

Exclamation How much $$ will this exhaust setup cost me? Help

Hello I have a 5.4L V8 I ordered a flowmaster 3" 10 series and and running a side exit that comes out before the back passanger tire. How much will all the pipe be? I already bought the muffler and tip but stock exhaust is 2 1/2" so I will need all the pipe! I am taking it to a shop (oxbow muffler) and they bend their own pipe... How much would it be for the pipe, bending it, and instalation. THANKYOU please comment your thoughts... A price rage would be great I'm thinking like 60-80? But i don't know PLEASE COREECT ME!

Once again think you please comment!

If you are just running from the y pipe back i could see around 100 or more.depending on if you go ss or not.... You'll need a y pipe that exits 3" tho. magnaflow makes a good one..

Ford797 - I've combined the six threads you've started on essentially the same subject into this one. Please don't start multiple threads on one topic - it just clutters the forum and can lead to confusion.

Question SIDE EXIT exhaust tip! (ANGLE)

I ordered a 3" flowmaster super 10 for my 2000 5.4L f150(of coarse). And also got a 5" outlet gibson metal militia tip. It will come out before the rear passenger side tire! I was wondering:

1.) will this have drone? (3" pipe single exit)

2.) ** how should I angle the tip?

*****should it be coming strait out?

*****or should it be angled facing back a little bit?

It will be coming in 5 days so please post your thoughts!

ANY COMMENTS ARE APPRICIATED!

THANKYOU!

Angled and it is highly likely that it will drone.

Quit Starting New Threads!

Ford797 - I've merged this new thread with all the others you started on your exhaust. I know you are not installing SEVEN exhausts, so please, just keep your questions to this one thread.

If you insist on ignoring me, I'll simply delete any new threads on this subject.

Thanks in advance for cooperating to help keep the forum from being cluttered.
