i want to put a 3 inch tail pipe and a 6 inch tip on my 99 scab and was wondering if any one else has this set up and if so what they think of it and pictures would be great. its a single out the corner of the truck thanks

 

Here's my 6" tip.

 

Going to be an eye sore if its chrome, your truck would need to be lifted sky high on 37s to make it look good, in my personal opinion.

Reminds me of the guy on here who put stacks on his truck. Just doesn't fit right. Way too big for the size of your truck. Maybe if the truck was on some 38's it might be able to pull if off. or if it was a diesel sitting on some 35-37's or bigger. Or if i was 16 it might be cool looking. And what Barrett said. Sorry man.

anytime ive been in the discussion ive never found anyone who likes that look on a gas truck. big tips are for diesels. and even then theres a limit.

So I guess everybody on this forum likes to be the same when modding trucks? Sorry but I didn't want to be like everybody else and go out and get the same old 3"-4" exhaust tip.

 

Oh yea your right man, cause all of of have the same size tip cut at the same angle, mounted in the same location. It's like saying I'm gonna put spinners on my truck cause no one else does it and it makes me super original, if its your thing then cool man, but how many other people do you think are gonna say its awesome just because no one else does it?

Since you asked: I think it would look dumb, never understood the coffee can tips on diesels either, but go ahead and do it if it's something you like because I can't see it from my house.

SJP, ya think there might be a good reason behind most of the fellers not using a 6" exhaust tip? If by saying "everybody on this forum likes to be the same when modding trucks" you actually mean everybody on this forum likes stuff that doesn't suck, then yes.
