like i always say if you dont like my ideas then dont look at them. I could careless if you guys think its a dumb idea im still gonna do it. Im not just a follower like most of you guys on here and put a 3.5 inch tip on my truck. The few people on hear that decide to be different and put a 5 inch tip on are awsome

No offense, but you asked about a 6" tip. I think most here are just saying it looks as if it overpowers your truck if it is mostly stock. Lifted trucks with larger tires etc., usually would generate a better appearance. Larger tips are usually found on a diesel. If you are still set on doing this maybe find a longer tip and not go over 5" like you stated above, the longer tip may hide the transition of the smaller pipe and give it a better transition to not look so overpowering. A short large tip on a smaller setup kinda has that misplaced jug look too me. Good luck, hope you end up happy with it.

i will tell you that dual 6x24 tips look badass, but it has to be lifted atleast some. it cant
be a stock height truck. then it just looks ridiculous.

Everyone pretty much goes by that philosophy. Whats yours is yours to do with as you wish. Posting in a forum asking for advice is an open invitation to any and all forms of critique. Different is good yes, to an extent. Folks here mainly want to voice out opinions for a classy look. Thats how F150 owners roll. Oh, and F150 owners are highly sarcastic and love pushing the nerve button

I think it will look like you have a small BBQ grill on the back of your truck. It's possible you could make some extra bucks selling hotdogs at lights.

To each his own. You should do whatever you like to your truck. If you want a six inch tip I don't know why you would put a five inch one on it.

If you end up with a 5" I think you'll like it. Here's my 5" coming out of 3" piping.

Yeah, it was kind of genius... but, it rattled like an empty spray paint can.

There are days that I wish I had them on... and there are days I'm glad they aren't on there anymore.

Only thing I like is that I've got 6" holes in my bed that make it super easy for cleaning dirt and mulch out of the bed. I found some 6" rubber drain pipe stops and I plug them when I'm not cleaning the bed.
