Borla 40353

My friend just put this muffler on his 2012 5.0 and it came out more quiet than expected. Do borla mufflers"break in?" Looking to make it louder, suggestions? He didn't want it too loud, so I didn't suggest the dynomax bullet I would have suggested.
Borla 40353 - Borla ProXS Mufflers 3 inch si/so. Just welded to the 2.5 inch pre muffler pipe, and reused 3 inch after muffler piping with a four inch tip.

in summary- no, but the tone does deepen slightly as with all mufflers, as the carbon builds up inside.

Is there a large diameter tip?

A single tailpipe will always be just a little more quiet, and is the resonator still installed?

ALL packed mufflers will break in to some degree. Each muffler is a little different on "how much break in" will be noticed.

Four inch tip. Where is the resonator? It may still be installed. Pretty much straight muffler swap, but since it is three inch after pipe did the 3 inch si/so. I had heard the new motors were louder than my 06, but must still have the resonator. I was a bit shocked how tame it was.

Did a little researching and going to recommend he remove the resonator. Seems to really kill the sound.

He got it removed. Sounds way better. I will add a video within a couple days.
