MBRP Exhaust 6 month review

Hey guys -
Just wanted to update anybody interested in the same setup i have (part #S5214409)
After 6 months - The only 1 complaint i have is the T409 steel, has already shown alot of surface rust. It has snowed twice and rained alot since i had it but wasn't expected it to look like this already. I might consider if MBRP takes it back, )if they even would), upgrading to the T304 SS which, i believe will not rust. Can someone vouch on this.
The exhaust nonetheless sounds great on the 5.0, sorry i dont have a current video yet.

heres some pics.

The 304 is said to be better as far as rust goes. Check out the muffler sticky at the top of this section, he explains in more detail about it!

Yeah I have the MBRP dual exit cat back on my truck for the last year and it looks like crap. It also pulls apart and crates leaks. It sounds good but I'll be ripping it off and tossing it in the garbage soon to replace it with a better quality system.

Return/refund and buy a Corsa Sport cat back if you want top quality, 2nd best quality would be a Borla catback.

Not trying to argue with you or anything, but I don't think I would say one is better quality than the other. The Corsa may have a nicer finish, but it's going under a truck. haha

I too agree, but the OP is unhappy that his aftermarket catback is rust surfaced as quickly as it had compared to how long it takes OEM systems to look equivalent.

I'd be unhappy with that too. FWIW I have the Corsa and it looks great after two harsh AK winters.

I have the T409 system as well. I get a scrubby pad and wipe it down. Looks good as new.

i have a T304 stainless kit on my focus, its 5 years old now and still looks pretty much the same minus the shine has gone down a bit but there is 0 rust on it, and living in canada we get our share of snow/salt on the roads.

im actually a little disappointed to see this from mbrp, using T409 makes the exhaust system look like junk in comparison to mine, when i drove up to their facility everything was top notch, this system looks second rate.
