trying to decide on a new exhaust setup...

So many choices out there. Im hoping to get some input from members here. I want something deep/aggressive, but not overly loud. I really like the sound of the Roush off road system. But, for the money I figure I could get true duals. Im not opposed to a good SI/DO setup with a y-pipe either. Ive been looking at the 5 and 6 inch round magnapacks with 14 inch bodies as my muffer(s). Im looking do to a system for between $500-$600 total with install. Any suggestions or input?

^ how bad? I can tolerate some, but would like to be able to hear people talking in my cab. Will going with the 5" or 6" magnapacks reduce drone? What about going longer to a 18" body vs the 14"?

^ I love the Borla sound, but dont think I can afford over $100 for each muffler. Would the 6" magnaflow in either the 14" or 18" length give me a similar sound to borla?

Dual mufflers will sound more muscled. DI/DO will be a hint more tamed.

thanks guys. I found some videos of the borla pro xs. i love that sound. im gonna save up and either do a true dual set up with those, or a sido. it just has the clean, deep tone, yet it still sounds aggressive enough for me.

If I go true duals on the Borla pro xs, should I go with a center/offset or center/center set of the mufflers?

If you aren't looking for high end power I would skip on true duals. Not really worth it. Loses your low end torque and costs a bundle, but sounds pretty good.

Center/offset will work well having the offset end up on top for the tailpipes.

It is an audio decible graph.. displays how loud each of the listed mufflers were..

Thanks, Darren. I love the sound of AVFrog's setup, but being in grad school and only working part time...its just not gonna fit into the budget.

I will likely go with a SI/DO set up similar to tallydog in this thread...very good sounding exhaust.
