Looks like a couple more people are trying the Super 10 out. Not bad.. Gives off an Original 40 tone though.

My buddy had a LS1 F-body with dual 10 series mufflers. He had mid-length headers, no cats, x pipe, over the axle to Corsa tips.

I wish I had some vids of it, but from what I remember it sounded great. What I think of as a "classic muscle car" sound. It wasn't too loud in the car, until he sold the tips and switched to "turn downs" off the mufflers. Then it was ridiculously loud in the car.

I also had a LS1 F-body. Long tubes, no cats, Magnaflow X, Flo-Pro Twister mufflers turned down right before the rear axle. Man did it sound bad ***, but it would put people to sleep on the highway lol.

Sorry none of the above info is helpful lol. I have a SIDO Cherry Bomb copy of a 10 series on my truck (2002 5.4) SOTB with 3.5" tips. It sounds good and IMO doesn't drone on the highway, but I do still have stock cats.

For fun here are some pics of the exhaust on my old Camaro.

I have a sido super 10 on mine and I like the sound of it. Still have stock cats (all 4) but it has pretty good tone and really hardly any drone. It roars when you punch it though. I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.

^Nice! Yah, same outcome as mines. Sounds wicked with little drone and my turndown is before axle. But when I hitted it freakin' screams!

Ya I went with 4" tips 45'd out the back. I don't know about you but I was half expecting horrible drone and for it to be stupid loud all the time when I saw how small that muffler is. I'm sure having 4 cats has a lot to do with it, but it is almost perfect for me. Like I said its pretty mellow at cruising speeds but screams at WOT. Best muffler flowmaster has made imo.

Duuude!!!

I have the 04 f150 with the super 10 flowmaster. But i did mine a little differently than everyone elses. My 04 came with 4 cats (2 preheats and 2mains). I deleted the main cats and just put straight pipes in and kept the preheats. I got the flowmaster Y pipe that goes 2.5 in and 3 out. I got a single exhaust set up and mine is louder than pretty much most of the dual exhaust set ups. I have AEM cold air intake but i threw away the AEM filter for is just a plain piece of crap and was just poor quality. So i am currently using spectre filters. They're all the same as k&n and green filters and all others, just keep them clean and oiled. I have superchips 1865 hooked up. I have everything dialed to the max on that truck. I currently have headers on order and its gonna be even louder than what it already is. dude honestly right now if i were to start that truck up and rev it up it would sound like a ********in' race truck. I love the super 10 set up i have. If you are dissapointed with the sound delete your main cats and just keep your preheats they act as high flow cats. And no it wont throw off a light. It didnt mine. Thats because the O2 sensors are before the mains so no CEL. Trust me dude i had a magnaflow system b4 my flow' and the flow is by far the better sounding most aggressive non ****ty sounding.

Consider deleting ur main cats dude trust me. It would open up alot more as far as sound. Better air flow too ofcourse but maybe a gain of 2hp maybe 3... depends... is it noticeable? eh, idk i mean i thought i noticed it as far as more get up but def more sound. and to be honest with you yes the drone in the truck is loud at low rpm and especially high rpm ofcourse when you haul a**. But honestly i enjoy the drone. The drone doesnt effect me one bit. lol granted i do have two 10's underneath my back seats that bump hard as ******* but no lie i'll actually somedays just turn my music down and just listen to the drone driving and i always have heads turning because of the noise. Had a couple people at stop lights askin me what the hell i have in this thing if i swapped out the motor for a bigger one i just laugh lol. But yea dude just do it delete ur main cats keep the preheats and haul ***. You will not regret it. No CEL trust me i just went thru emissions back in july and i had this set up since may. DO IT DUUUUDE!!!
