I have the same exact setup as fine_style150 but I deleted my rear cats so I basically have high flows. I am completely satisfied with the setup I went with cost me about $240 parts and all. I don't feel like I lost any torque/bottom end after the install. It's basically want to what to spend in the end. Listen to my exhaust video link in my sig. I was considering doing to drive by/wot video this week.

trying to finalize the setup i think im going with this

y pipe (maggie 2.5 in, 3 inch out) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-10778/
muffler (maggie 3in3out siso oval 14" body center/offset) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-12229/
tip (maggie 3in4out 12" long) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MPE-35107/

dumped just behind the rear axle.

i dont want a visible tailpipe unless it really matters that much in sound, and i dont want to keep it clean. i just want it there for amplifying noise purposes.

so im thinking dumping it like this:

unless you wouldnt recomend that then ill do it like krtexas' famous dump:

i dont want any problems with melting my spare tire either.

should i have the pipe run all the way to the back of the truck and exit in the stock location just up higher tucked up to the truck? maybe like this

thats the exit of the 16518 maggie catback

and i will price it all out on performance peddler too

dont want it too loud but louder than what ive got with is stock everything with a 2.5 siso 14" maggie. id like to go to 3 inch too for the little power gains i might get

My purpose reason of originally suggesting you the 3" outlet Y pipe was to free up high end and mid range power, along with a deeper toned note. The OEM Y pipe actually necks the left bank down to 2" at the Y pipe, choking the left bank down a good bit. Restriction does cause more velocity which low end power will help in, but a free breathing engine is a good running one also. And its not like 2.5" duals are better than a 3" single for torque. I would get 4.10s if you are ever needing more torque personally.

im gonna do the maggie y pipe and 12229 muffler. im not going to worry about a tip, i think im either just going to dump it after the muffler, or run it over the axle and dump it. i just dont care to have a visible tail pipe.

if i get the maggie y put in, am i still going to want to get the muffler with an offset on one end and a center on the other?

i really like the sound of the maggie 16518 catback, but it says its a 5x8x18 muffler. 3 inch piping, 4 inch tip. is the 18 vs 14 inch body gonna effect tone or volume?

that kit superceeded the 16612, and theres a 16612 on ebay for 300 bucks. hmmm.

Do you by chance have a link to this "krtexas famous dump" thread?? I'm wanting to do that kind of setup on mine with a black widow widowmaker probably.
