Exhaust finally finished. With vids

Well I've been searching and searching trying to figure out what I wanted. I finally bit the bullet yesterday and orderd all my parts. It'll be a true dual system with the stock cats and two magnaflow 5" round bodied magnapacks (part number 12866) after a magnaflow x-pipe crossover (part number 10791). I have some used 4" by either 18" or 22" long tips and I'll be placing them in about the stock location just on both sides. I'm super excited. Hopefully they will be in next week so I can get them put on.

I'll have to try to get some pics and a video up on here. I've never tried to do either of them. I know there is a place on here that shows you how to do it. Anyone want to point me in the right direction?

Me too man. Like I said I've never had any type of aftermarket mufflers or anything. I figured this could be my graduation present to myself. I hope it sounds like I want

sweet! Gonna be a GREAT setup. As far as pictures and videos go, upload the pictures on photbucket, and get the IMG CODE (bottom of the 4 codes), and you can either upload the video to photobucket or youtube. Photobucket will be the last link, and youtube will just be the link at the top. Dont flake out on us with pics/vids! Exhaust videos are like **** to some people...

I'll try not to. I know other peoples videos have helped me a lot. I just want other people to be able to learn like I have from this sight.

Yeah I tried to do my research so i could get it right the first time. Thanks. I know I watched your videos, DarrenWS6, about ten times cause I liked the sound of the bullets. They were just a little loud for me. Anyway my stuff is supposed to be in Thursday so maybe I can get it put on Friday before work. Hopefully get some pics and vids up this weekend

How much of a sound/performance difference will the 5" vs the 4" be?

5" Magnapack - 12866

4" Magnapack - 10416

I'm not sure so i can't say. I started a thread a while back asking that same question. I was told that the 5" would have slightly less drone so that's why I went with the 5". I wasn't looking for the loudest exhuast around.

As far as performance I have no idea man. I'm completely new to this whole thing.

Magnapacks sure sound good, but I wonder if the interior drone is just crazy. I watched 08Fx4's vids, and with how loud that Magnapack is outside it must be crazy on the inside.

Me too, I got sick last Feb and went to the Dr, man driving with that exhaust was awful, what a headache I had. And that was on stock manifolds.

Ooooh yes... Listen to 4.6puisher's interior vid, its just as much of a droneache.

Bow,

We will have to get together and compare exhausts. My gf lives in Water Valley, just south of Oxford, and I'm down there every few weekends. I've got an '08 SuperCab STX with the 4.6. Already know Darren will hate on my setup, but my Original 40 Flowmaster SI/DO with 3" pipes and 4" tips sounds really good to me. Not too much drone in the cab, and sounds nice when I romp on it. Sounds like you made a wise choice--I'll prolly go with Magnaflow next time, just to try something different. Take care.

Heath

Yeah just let me know sometime if you will be in oxford.

I got everything put on today. I didn't have any time to get a vid or pics cause I had to work all afternoon. Hopefully I can put something together tommorrow for all you guys. Everything sounds great. Just like I wanted it. It's actually deeper than it is louder which seems unusual to me. Most exhuasts I've heard around here are way louder but don't have a super deep tone. Anyway, I think I made a wise choice with the magnaflows. I might even add on high flows when I get the money back in the bank.
