Quick question and this goes out to the fellas running or have run true duals, I'm a poor man and can't afford hot rod cams, or comp cams thumpr series but I want my truck to have a distinct choppier idle, with either a xr1 or magnapack. Can I achieve this by ditching my 3"single/ 2.5" split tails and going all true dual 2.5"? I would definitely do an X-pipe config

Has anyone heard the Ecoboost with anything other than stock exhaust? If so I hope it is online so I can listen. I put true duals on an old v6 and I liked it but it was an aquired taste.

Granted I'm new to the gas motor crowd but I have always found exhaust tips to be cheaper and good quality at the local Chrome shop. They always have as big as you want to go. It doesn't take much to get a adapater made if you are going from small to large.

I'm in the market for an exhaust, and this was hugely helpful.

I feel sorry for the poor soul who's door I walk in with this information, and I know more than they do at the muffler shop!!

question. I have a 2011 6.2 liter. I really don't want the sound, as much as the performance. with the big engine i know i will have some sound, but what do you recommend for the least loud, but high performance?

Borla turbo muffler or maybe Roush off road with tailpipes.

Pick any preferential muffler you'd like for personal sound qualities, but realize that there will be the next best thing to Zero performance benefits. Yes - the stocker IS that good.
