long tube headers questions
I have an 05 f150 4.6 2wd. Pacesetter says they only sell them for a 4wd. Is there a difference in them? Is it alright to get them? They're only $300.00

Those $300 pacesetters are going to rust out nomatter what climate you are in, and the welds may eventually leak.. Save yourself some hard labor and do it the right way first, get stainless steel headers. OBX, or Dynatech.

and still, no answer. I was asking if 4wd and 2wd use the same headers. Its a damn simple yes or no question. I didnt want info on stainless works, obx, or dynatech ****.
This forum sucks...i know it is designed to go around the transfer case. I am asking if they will fit the 2wd model also. Pacesetter themselves don't know, Ford don't know, none of the part stores know. This is why I'm on this asking people.
Is that a complete kit-headers and y-pipe? I dont see why the pipes that go around the transfer case wouldnt work on your 2wd.
On another note, I would have to agree with Darren. Spend a little extra cash and either go with OBX or Dynatech. Ive got the Dynatech setup on mine and they have been awesome.

I could beat on OBX but why, you get your money's worth with either set.
You can get PS's Ceramic Coated or have them Jet Coated. I've never heard of welds going bad. I call BS. Their very easy to weld because their heavy. If those welds leak, like with any header install, it's most likely due to the install (stressed) and/or incorrect dampening.
Dynatech, Kooks - Those are all quality, - there's only a few I know that run Kooks. One, -a member of this site, -runs them on his 4six. Dynatech's are easier, -bolt on + kits.
If they don't, -lets us know ehh.
And th OBX's won't ? They rust from the inside out. My headers are fine after 3+ years and their longer + heavier gauge than OBX. My trucks allot quicker since I added these.

There for, you are contradicting yourself by saying OBX's are junk and Dynatechs are better.
