There for, you are contradicting yourself by saying OBX's are junk and Dynatechs are better.
How can I contradict myself when I didn't say that ? And are you saying their stainless thru and thru ?

Here let me help you out....

I could beat on OBX but why, you get your money's worth with either set.

You can get PS's Ceramic Coated or have them Jet Coated. I've never heard of welds going bad. I call BS. Their very easy to weld because their heavy. If those welds leak, like with any header install, it's most likely due to the install (stressed) and/or incorrect dampening.

Dynatech, Kooks - Those are all quality, - there's only a few I know that run Kooks. One, -a member of this site, -runs them on his 4six. Dynatech's are easier, -bolt on + kits.
And yes, OBX's are stainless all through out just like Dynatech. They aren't half stainless, half mild steel.... OBX T-304 Stainless Headers are exact duplicates of Dynatech T-304 stainless except that the collector is 2.5" on the OBX and 3" on the Dynatech.

You sure about that.

I didn't say they were junk. So your headers won't rust inside ? Hell, I haven't seen stainless that didn't rust on the outside , eventually.

Same as Dynatech ? You have that data ?

Pretty sure as I have a set on my truck.. And have seen other sets sitting side by side with Dynatech.

I also never claimed that 304 stainless headers won't eventually rust. So good try on trying to claim I did.

I like how you are trying to pull yourself out of this...

You said don't buy obx because they rust form the inside...

then you and say Buy Dynatech because it's quality....

Just admit you messed up and leave it at that...

Right , who's trying what here ? Someone chit the bed this morning. - I'm asking questions. Then asking for proof. I never said don't buy OBX. My post - you get your money's worth with either set. Meaning OBX or Pacesetter. Hell I endorsed OBX's in the other thread, over Pacesetters. Did you hit your head or what?

I've searched and read up on the OBX = Dynatech Knock-offs. This is true from I'm seeing/reading. Not just with the trucks , but all other applications. I haven't heard that before, but I'm sold.

What I curious about now is, 3" vs 2.5" collector running directly into a HF converter, like the Emissions compliant Magnaflow. I cut out my 2.5" ID cat flange and welded in a 3.0" ID to slip fit 3" collectors. Then reduced on the other side of the cats to 2.5" ID. I have a feeling I should have reduced at the collector to help the low end. I think I might change, then head to the dyno.

there are plenty of people running 2 wheel drive headers on thier 4X4's, the mid pipes are the difference...

Right, the 2wds should be cake. You have more room to play with, for the Y anyway . They most likely didn't change much with 04's . The 4x4's are a tight squeeze. Specially if you have to cram that fricken bee hive in there somewhere. That was a little work ! - Quite a bit of cusin offset that a bit, beer helped, but I kept running out .
