Oil-Free Air Filter

Hey people! It's been awhile since I've posted up here.. life and stuff and been keeping me busy.

Anywho.. quick question! I'm looking into replacing my AF1 3.5" Air filter. I've had it for a little over 2 years, and the filter itself is still in good shape, I'm just tired of oiling the filter.

So yea, any ideas for an cleanable oil free universal air filter? I've been looking at AEM's Dry Flow filters.. seem like pretty easy maintenance, but I dunno if they have the correct size just yet.

Throw some recommendations at me.. thanks

I believe Amsoil filters are oil-free and quite a few people are using them.

gotcha.. thanks for the reply.. was looking through their website and those EeAU filters look nice.. anyone want to comment about them?

I was curious about cleaning the Amsoil filter, so I googled some info..

EaA filters should be cleaned every year or 25,000 miles, whichever comes first. Carefully remove the filter from the housing. Clean the housing with a shop towel, being careful not to knock contaminants into the air inlet. Filters can be cleaned by carefully vacuuming the filter media on the dirty side, or by holding the filter with one hand and carefully blowing the filter media at a 45 degree angle on the clean side using low-pressure shop air (15-20 lbs. psi).

Service Life
AMSOIL Ea Air Filters are guaranteed for four years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The guarantee applies only if the filter has been serviced according to AMSOIL recommendations. In off-road, frequently dusty or other severe duty applications, clean and change more often as determined by operating conditions or as indicated by restriction gauge.

So.. whatcha guys think? Amsoil universal filter the way to go?

amsoil is the best it gets second to the stock style paper filter. Go for it. Your MAF sensor will thank you for it.

I like the AEM dryflow. I had it on my old 2004 Wrangler. No complaints.

i can go quite some time on my K&n filter between changes, and i even go down a real dusty road to work everyday. i havent had any problems with it or my MAF. would rather have a dry filter though just because its less work to maintain

Sorry for the brain fart. Should have typed AF1 filter instead of K&N.
