Yep, your good to go. I too vote dumping it over axle with a small tip to give the good tip sound effect.

How many cats does your 2005 have? 4 or 2? Should be 2 if its built after Jan 2005.

x3 on tips, I did the same thing. I went with slp 3.5 tips, I think total length on them is like 5 1/2".

Yeah the pipe is still there where the old muffler attached. would just extending the pipe towards the rear really quieten it down a good amount ?
I don't about how much it would quieten it down. Here's my best understanding of your situation. From your 1st post you said you liked the sound but thought it was too loud. Right now the exit is underneath the back of your cab which leads to it being very loud in cab. By lengthening the pipe and pushing the exit farther back you quieten it down in the cab.

BTW, your truck is awesome. Your suspension/lift/rims/tires are exactly what I am looking for. That and one of those "lift em up..." bumper stickers, lol.

Must have 4 cats then.

18" version of what? The Magnaflow compared to the 16" Bullet? The Bullet is a round body so it will be a bit louder than the larger width body Magnaflow.

Barely anything if there is a 16" Bullet, the 16" may be the overall of the 12" bullet now that I think of it. You wont regret the 12" though.
